  2.  @thomaslewis7883  No moron. They went SIX times manned to LAND, after 13 they went FOUR MORE times. They didn't go again because they were out of working Saturn V's and capsules. We had beaten the Soviets and republicans didn't want to pay for more trips that looked like re-runs. Republicans craved putting all that money back into the economy so they could get rich. They liked beating the "commies", but they always see Science as a leftist boondoggle.

Nobody wanted to just go round the moon, they wanted to land on it!! What fucking commentator? Some clown these days? It was a mix of protests against the gov and the Vietnam War, Nixon and change of power in the whitehouse. Once we beat the Russians nobody was even interested anymore!!
