  4. I'd argue that driving a RWD car in the snow on snow tires is actually safer because you don't get a false sense of confidence like all the people with AWD on all seasons! Sure, they can get going, but they can't stop or turn like they can accelerate! RWD in the winter is also really good for honing your car control skills at relatively low speeds! I drove my Miata through the last three winters up here in New England and I'm a much better driver for it

  8. When I was a teen, my dad and I went to go look at the new models at a Ferrari dealership while on vacation. A brand representative, knowing full well we had no real intent (or means) to make a purchase, let me start up the white 458 Spider on the second floor. It was such a small occasion, and a commonplace one for those who have the access, but the memory still remains vivid 10 years on. Glad to see 458 has only gotten better with age.

  20. So jealous of the efficiency of the Si! I can eke out 35 mpg in my Fiesta only on my best behavior. It's worth noting that an efficient drive is also a smooth drive! Mindset and attitude can definitely have an effect on your fuel costs EDIT: +1 for "asymptotic" :)

  31. I miss RWD in the snow so much! FWD is a little bit less lively but it becomes increasingly apparent how much the front tires need to do when they have a low grip budget. Being able to adjust your line with your right foot is so rewarding. Love these videos!!!

  33. Glad to see that wild oval interchange in Newton is still shit! Also, I'm def running into glitches with CarPlay, too. I've discovered that Google Maps really has a tough time some days, like in some circumstances the map will just never load or my position on it will never update. Restarting the app will typically fix it, but it's annoying to do that every other drive. Waze also does weird shit. The most reliable app so far is Apple Maps :/

  36. I'm unashamedly into this thing. You just have to appreciate the attention to detail in the interior. I love how the digital tachometer has a trail of light that sweeps with the needle! It adds a sense of theater to what otherwise would have been an animated line moving up and down.

Love how the PHEV isn’t a consolation prize if you don’t go for the inline 6, it has its own merits and it still benefits from the great bones of the platform. “You can definitely get this your way. Not a Burger King reference!” 😂 Also, not to pull a “but ackshually” on you, but I’m pretty sure the PHEV is naturally aspirated instead of turbo. 5:17 you can see the throttle body going right to an airbox instead of connecting to intercooler plumbing. Still, not like this thing is low on power!
