@debater452 - and besides, Kyiv existed longer than Moscow.
8
"How dumb can Finland be???" - zero. Because we all know that Moscow pretty much gave Helsinki the much-needed excuse.
7
@titusnelson9499 - nope, not quite. Besides, voluntarily joining NATO and NATO "taking over" Finland are two very different things.
6
"Finland has no any strength to fight with the Russian" - how many Soviet lives were lost to take just like less than 10% of Finnish land again?
6
Still would have happened regardless.
5
Something tells me you haven't seen what happend when Moscow tried to invade Finland. Besides, what's KGB spy Putin doing near the 1st anniversary of his 3-day 'special military operation'?
5
@CSCCSC-xl7qq - except, you won't. We can tell.
5
Dude, that's debunked.
4
"There was no reason for it to exist." - counterpoint: Moldova and Chechnya.
4
Nope. Putin had every chance to improve Russia, and he squandered them.
4
"Ukraine has not sunk any Russian ships - that's all been debunked." - pro-Russia milbloggers and amateur phone videos say otherwise
4
Again, incorrect. Ukraine want to improve their lives and want no part of Russia's BS. Putin didn't get the memo.
4
Not really.
4
Not quite. By simply attacking Helsinki (even without a nuke), the Finns are guaranteed to invoke Article 5.
4
Incorrect.
4
Finland did what they wanted to in the Winter War despite losing a bit of land: remain independent. As for the Soviets getting back on their feet during WWII, there's the thing called "Lend-Lease" that helped them get to Berlin.
4
Incorrect.
4
Nope, not quite.
4
@vergil-z71 - not denial, besides we already know why NATO intervened in Serbia and Kosovo.
4
"It feels like you are funded by NATO or Raytheion or Lockheed Martin." - which isn't the case. "Yet did not say a work about the CIA coup in Ukraine" - which isn't the case either. "or that the Ukrainian army has killed over 14,000 of its own Russian speaking citizens" - over 14,000 being mostly military casualties ON BOTH SIDES.
4
Incorrect, or at least there are a lot of missing context to your comments.
3
Except, their alliance with the Nazis was more nuanced than it seems. To put it shortly, superficial at best. Besides, didn't the Soviets help Germany build up their war machine?
3
Not quite. Russia pretty much got her eastern European neighbors angry long before Ukraine in 2022.
3
There's the thing called Chechnya.
3
The didn't FORMALLY apply. 'Asking' and 'formally applying' for membership are two very different things
3
Nope.
3
@austin33785 - I hate to break it, but you're really lack foresight (one of the things that brought you Pearl Harbor).
3
incorrect
3
Nope.
3
Thing is, Russia destroyed itself.
3
@user3bf653f - not really hate, just dissapointment. Russia had years to reinvent itself and become a productive country. Invading Ukraine pretty much put those chances into the bin for a very long time.
3
@DonutGuard - Zhukov and some Soviet officials (and probably Stalin himself) say otherwise. Besides, Ukraine is already getting Lend-Lease just like Moscow.
3
"Finland could of just asked for help" - they already did.
3
Much of the world's grain comes from Ukraine.
3
"instead of removing NATO they continually expanded threatening and encircling Russia." - Moldova, Chechnya, and Georgia say otherwise.
3
@csjmb6193 - dude, don't play dumb.
3
Nope.
3
Russia's actions in Syria suggest otherwise.
2
If Putin and Yanukovych just admit that the Ukrainian people prefer closer ties with the EU, there never would have been a war.
2
@TomSeliman99 - and now it seems Russia's own blunders are giving China some second-thoughts.
2
All Putin had to do was not invade in the first place, understand that Ukraine wishes to lean closer with the EU, and that's it.
2
Not really. On the other hand, Russia's supposed might is questionable at best; can't even help Armenia when they asked a few times.
2
@aronm5617 - "The point being is west toppled a pro Russian government to make them pro West." - incorrect, and you know that pretty well.
2
@direct2397 - unfortunately, you seem to forget that Moscow is the capital of both. And we all know how they operate.
2
@RM27.03 - same applies to Moscow.
2
Incorrect.
2
Incorrect
2
Not quite.
2
@Azdroc96 - and before we forget, Moscow's victory over the Nazis was, even by the admission of some top Soviet officials, made possible by stuff from the good ol' U.S. of A. Besides, this ain't the old Soviet times bud where they could draw more manpower. Now, Ukraine is getting the much-needed Lend-Lease.
2
@mrmellow1144 - or Russia didn't treat their former Warsaw Pact members well, and that was the factor that made a good portion of the eastern bloc join NATO.
