  26.  @roynichols4745  - pretty simple: ask the nations of the former Warsaw Pact. Did they wish to forge closer ties with Russia? Ask the Ukrainians. They wish to forge closer ties with the EU; even their Parliament approved this, which Yanukovych rejected. That's why the Euromaidan happend. And besides, why install missile bases when you have submarines and aircraft to do the job? And for that last sentence, you can thank Moscow for that.

As for Donbass, that's debunked. Besides, in some ways, NATO's expansion was self-inflicting on Moscow after their treatment on the former Warsaw Pact members.
