Takes up to 12 months to fully qualify as a train driver. I don't think you've thought it thru properly.
1
My idea would be to get the Self employed to actually pay a proper amount of N.I. and tax, that way the rail ways could be better subsidised and be cheaper to use just like in Europe.
1
@nyakwarObat Yes, a combined effort from really clever people that never realised that the bill breaches the ECHR.
1
Even when (if) that’s brought in the costs of record numbers pilling into the UK because of BREXIT and us being a third country far outweigh something that was in the papers last year…
1
@colinsixhitter3303 Thanks Colin. Of course not all engineering works are carried out on a weekend as us professionals know. As it's been said by Mick Lynch before the mainline only runs with the drivers doing rest day working - Harper as you quite rightly said doesn't have a clue even though he's the minister in the know....
1
12 m tories enjoyed their socialism as they stayed at home for a year in their pJays drinking Prosecco.
1
Brexshitters haven't stopped moaning. Fish, sovereignty, control, boats, borders, immigrants ( which with your surname you seem to be one of ) Obviously bojo has never told a porky..... 🍩
1
@lestrem11 Keep voting blue. You will need several jobs to survive.
1
@lestrem11 I know. I retired at 51.
1
@Craig121000 Good. Time they pay up or fk off.
1
@kevinsyd2012 Total bollox. I was a driver for 33 years and no one ever earnt 80k. Spoon fed, gaslit drivel Kevin.
1
Happy 10th anniversary of the cnuts passing. At least she’s warm down there
1
12 million tories enjoyed “socialism”sitting In their gazebos watching loose women for a year. Some are still there.
1
Yea, Junior Drs on £14 an hour. 🍩
1
@paullegend6798 The beauty is that after 12 million private sector workers sitting at home watching loose women for best part of a year whilst public sector workers risked their lives going to work is that now these companies have realised they don’t need as many staff as before. 👍🏻
1
Please stop making things up. The end of your comment looks like a Daily Fail headline.
1
But Andy. The ethnics are taking over. Will you still be voting for the tories, and when you you realise that voting out of Europe will prevent you from advertising a union jack?
1
You are deluded if you actually think Farage wants best for the UK. Look how Brexit has contributed to the state of the country now. He only interested in getting more working class people to make him and his hedge fund mates richer. Wake up
1
@whatsnew8280 The tories destroyed both the mines and the car industry. Coal purchased cheaper from abroad and the car industry sold off to foreigners with the same going for all our manufacturing and utilities. The trouble is we have people like yourself believing bollox and spouting the same - FACT.
1
@callumclark4021 That’s purely because the myopic thought that voting for the Tory party that they would be given “ control “ & “ sovereignty “ & no more foreigners . All that’s happened is everyone is poorer and you can now have a blue passport ( now made in Poland )
1
It's true. Immigrants are ruining this country....
1
Please be nice to people, especially those with mental health issues.
1
Unions are worth every penny John, especially in the railway. Hard jobs to get but very easy to lose and one where you could end up in prison if you were to cock up big time.
1
No. Just silly comments comparing 2 totally different jobs. Most voted Tory who have voted for years to not give nhs workers a decent pay increase but not sussed how hypocritical they were going out clapping.
1
Terrible thing. Unless you got money for sitting at home for over a year. When it suits.
1
They should still be owned by the government either way. Take a look at Germany last year offering travel across the country for €9 whereas here in the UK you can fly to Europe cheaper than it costs for a standard return from London to Manchester.
1
Shame we can’t get the Brexit loons to pay for everything.
1
@mwd331 I don't think that anyone who's a tory voter can go on about spending money after this lot with money jizzed all over the place for invisible bridges, T&T, PPE contracts to friends and relatives HS3.2.0, getting rid of 21,000 fully trained plod then replacing them with another 20k that need training. Not forgetting the white elephant that is Brexit. No doubt the people moaning the loudest were the ones sitting at home in the garden drinking Stella on full furlough...
1
@adambutterworth7608 Just think. If labour had been in power there would be people pouring into the country on a daily rate, Gas,electricity, food and fuel would be at record levels, massive queues at Dover, inflation would be rocketing, and millions getting free money to sit at home for a year drinking Stella. Oh. Hang on....
1
@simonbarter326 Of course Simon. All pushed onto their best mates at the expense of the taxpayer. The same going for all the money given to companies under the furlough scheme. Now imagine Labour doing the same thing. It would have been the tory magic money tree bollox being spouted again.
1
@adambutterworth7608 Yes we have. To use Stewart Lee - it's just like shitting in your bed before you go to sleep.
1
@Willywin That old chesnut is like me complaining where my taxes @ 40% went to. The benefits of paying £16 a month into the EU was more than a bargain for what I got out of it. You don't live in Wales or Cornwall by any chance do you?
1
Farage promised to leave the uk if Brexit was a cock up but he's still at Dover waving his arms around shouting about control..
1
Unfortunately Jon they are only ' illegal ' once they have been processed, refused asylum and continue to stay. Before Brexit we had Dublin which allowed us to get rid a lot quicker. Now, once past the 12 mile marker we are obliged to take them in. So Control of our borders was only spouted to get you wound up.
1
@jjefferyworboys8138 Could you imagine if eveyone was as successful and clever as yourself Jjeffery. Who would empty your bins for you?
1
@jjefferyworboys8138 Not forgetting that the UK would be in a worse place than it is now if the plebs stopped paying tax and full N.I. contributions and joined the ranks of the business owners claiming back for everything and paying as little contributions that the rule bending allows?
1
@Tailspin80 Don't forget he also has a £3 million London home and gets first class travel anywhere in the world.
1
I thought that leaving the EU we could cut VAT on energy bills. Will the tories be doing that before or after the 40 new hospitals are built?
1
@johnou.k.3780 Reform will carve up the NHS and have us in an American style healthcare system. They will also bankrupt us even more by giving everyone a 20k tax allowance. Its not about any party letting more in, it's about the fact that now we are out of Europe we don't have the right to send anyone back to the first safe country as we had when we were part of it Johno. The main problem is people like yourself have been gaslit and not realised it.
1
@johnou.k.3780 So, the highest inflation in 4 decades, lowest growth in Europe ( except Russia ) Highest fuel tariffs in Europe and the current crashing of our NHS doesn't apply then Johnno? As I've said, it proves people like yourself have been gaslit and believed all the rhetoric. You soak it up like a big sponge. Farage is another reason the country has been fcuked over. All to make money for his hedge fund whilst we all pay for it because you deluded fools thought that the were going to be no more brown people allowed in 🙄
1
Forget the death penalty. Just move the person to Ashfield.
1
Well it shows how much you know looking at your comment which is fkall. Lynch adds a days pay to the strike fund for those members that need it and as for “ his followers “ they are all paid up members who voted to either go on strike or not. They also vote for who’s going to be the General Secretary and all the positions below. Best try and find your facts from proper sources rather than the shit rags and then engage what brain you have before you open your gob.
1
@MrOliver1444 Sorry, I cannot understand your comment.
1
@nimzgaz7049 Sunak has more money than the King of England, for that reason he should not be allowed to play any part in being PM of the UK. If a party changes the PM it should trigger a new election. None of the revolving for PMs would have been elected in a real election.
1
@nimzgaz7049 Apart from when Blair was in charge yes. I can hold my head up knowing I didn’t get suckered into voting for a load of posh people that fooled a great deal of the working class plebs in the hope that the UK were going to get rid of anyone with a brown skin or foreign sounding name.
1
@InfernalPasquale 12 million plus seemed to enjoy socialism when they sat at home on Furlough. It's when it suits with the Audi on the drive crowd. As long as its their bank account getting topped up by the taxpayer it's OK.
1
@anfearaerach 👍At least you have weekends to enjoy. Not forgetting being allowed to go to the loo when you want to. Bonus.
1
@jake751 ONS figures state around 11.6 million Rosemarie. Apologies for rounding up, but let’s face it - the UK is in the state it is for paying people to stay at home. Hope you enjoyed yourself watching loose Women. Don’t watch Sky as I don’t have a TV license.
1
@andyforshaw8489 Yes, other countries are suffering high inflation but most of them from France downwards have a cheaper, better standard of living than the UK. A small percentage of the UK voted to make us poorer and harder to trade with our next door neighbours. Where as the rest of europe didn't. Now we have the added cost of a complete cock up of a government to the pile and people like yourself still think it's OK to have a bullshitter who can't dress himself properly in charge. Madness.
1
Can’t be any worse than the tories Mary. They have ruined this country.
