  11. Nurses earn 34k so that is more than half of what a train driver earns. They could also do what any train driver does on dead early or late shift and travel to work by car...

The reason that tfl got in the situation Robert is because despite being the oldest metro system in the world which moves over a billion passengers a year to their places of work that generates billions of pounds for the UK is because our fantastic government gives it the lowest subsidies in Europe, hence them relying on passenger fares which as we know were virtually non existent through the pandemic. Bojo, Schapps, and the gangs gaslighting has obviously worked on you mate. It tends to easily fool people that can't find the proper facts out before spouting nonsense, one reason that the country is on its arse thanks to the working class plonkers that voted for them in the first place!

  24. The rail fares will go up anyway. If you look at the London Underground then it's the oldest metro system in the world that receives the least money from central government which is why its expensive. If you vote Tory then you can blame yourself rather than rail workers.

My son did exactly that one year and now works tables to top up his Uni money. Same went for the EU workers wanting to travel and visit the UK and with some of them they used it as a stepping stone to get a better job, with that they pay taxes and N.I. into the UK and if you bother to check the facts and not get your info from the usual suspects then the out of the original 3.8 million EU intake it was 800k pre Brexit immigrants that ended up claiming some sort of benefit. Of course you might protest on that one and yes if the Tories had played the rules correctly they would and should have been sent back, but of course we know they weren't. Either way the remaining 3 million were paying into the UKs coffers to the tune of FOUR times what their country people were taking out so essentially they were paying for them and then some. This takes me to your point of sending money ( Let's say wages ) back to their birth country. Sorry Bob but that's their business not yours or mine. If I wanted to send some money to family who live elsewhere what's that got to do with anyone? It's my money and I will do what I want with it. As for the building trade 90% of my friends work in various trades. None of them are skint, in fact 2 of them earn so much money they spend the winter months in the sunshine to ' lose ' a fair bit of cash in hand money. Another of them has 4 holidays a year with 2 in the Caribbean. One of my mates was working PAT testing on the Spurs ground and earning 5k a week. So with that in mind who would you say is more patriotic to the UK? The brit builder who doesn't claim everything and spends a lot of his money abroad or the immigrant that pays taxes and N.I. and spends his time in the UK?? Where you might have the hump is with the usual crowd saying they are undercutting local builders. Where I live the local builders I've used have all taken the piss in some way - turning up late, leaving early, taking far too long to do a job or in my last case where I watched a landscaper snap 3 porcelain tiles that cost me £48 each because he was too tight to buy the correct blade for his saw and grinder. I ended up telling him to fk off and ended up giving the rest of the job to a Polish builder who was top notch and didn't keep trying to change the price he gave me. As for other roles like bar work, restaurants, coffee shops etc the money isn't good enough so the locals would rather stay on UC than do some work. That's no fault of any foreigner but the current government Bobb.

Before Brexit you could have done what my friends son did and go and train in Europe, in his case he went to Holland and trained for free in return for working for the company that sponsored him. Can't do that anymore thanks to myopia Jack.

The trouble is that because people like yourself are easily duped then that's how the wealthy got Brexit pushed through. Look at us now, we have less rights to send anyone back to the first safe country as we are no longer in the EU. Unfortunately you probably believed that we were going to gain back control and sovereignty which we always had and never lost in the first place.

I had the same conversation with my local rep who went straight out and despite never ever stepping on the emerald isle and voting for Brexit applied for his paddy passport so he didn’t lose his freedom of movement etc. I would wager Lynch and Dempsey both have one too.

I've had 5 heart appointments cancelled this year. The tories won't mind people popping their clogs as that's loads of state pensions they won't have to pay out just like covid and our record number of deaths. You won't get anyone but the truely dedicated to train in the UK as why would anyone run up a 70 k debt to earn 30k a year?? Training for nurses should be free, just like it is in Scotland. There should also be massive incentives but you would no doubt get some complete plonker on here kicking off about them being overpaid tiktok dancers. I do agree the tories are deliberately butchering the NHS but not for what you mention. It's to fully privitise it so their mates can make another killing just like when they crashed the pound after the referendum result.

  47. Unfortunately, Micks stance on Brexit has facilitated this. Probably won't admit it but it was one of the reasons that the hardcore in the government wanted to leave the EU. Next thing will be Jacob reinstating sending young children up the chimney to clean them. Kate Garraway, Ben Shepherd and all the other celebs reporting on these ( most in a biased way ) are all on 500k a year to sit in front of a camera for a couple of hours. The proverbial bod on £1000 an hour telling those on minimum wage that the workers on £35 an hour are the problem....
