@Mr_Subtle Don’t be silly. Cheapest flat in my wife’s street is 850k. No garden, no parking space. You can’t get a council house because they are either have historically long tenants in them or they were sold off hence my first sentence.
2
@Mr_Subtle The leftist establishment haven’t been in charge for 13 years SW. Do you personally know ALL the facts re the Nigerian mum and other person or are you just taking one side of a story or even making it up for a response to my comment? Yesterday at the gym a lady seemed to know everything about Gary Lineker, his contract with the BBC and his comments. When pressed she told me she read it from the news paper ( Mail )
2
@Mr_Subtle Did you ever do history at school? I suppose you also think the people from the Windrush came for a holiday.
2
@lovelybitofbugle219 The fares will go up RPI anyway regardless of pay rises. Sounds like you have been gaslit.
2
Of course he did.
2
@PressureOnJulian He's talking complete bollox. I was a driver/Instructor for 33 years and paid at a higher rate than a driver and never got near 72k. Only one's that did that were a small handful of engineering or test drivers who did shit loads of overtime and all ended up in divorced marriages because they were never at home. Of course having 1300 behind you and the responsibility it entails is piss easy. He could have a seance with all the under 60 year old drivers who pegged it thanks to the shift work and ill health it brought them...
2
She didn’t pass the Morse code test as they don’t do that in Pretend Navy anymore.
2
@chainzsawmaster He clapped as 260 northern workers from Delarue lost their jobs as the government gave the contract away to print our new super sovereignty special blue passports that are worth less than the paddy ones…
2
He’s always wanted the health system to go private so his mates in America can earn more money off the working class mugs.
2
@leighparr7961 Blame the myopic up north for giving the tories an 80 seat majority. No one else.
2
@douglasrutter6809 Stop making shit up. Blair didn't start nothing. He was dragged into it. Nothing more.
2
@unrealharry You're not a travel agent with a side line in logistics by any chance?
2
@ecnalms851 Sounds like you have just regurgitated a ReesMogg word salad speech. Never mind. As it was all “ in their interest” we can soon go out and buy cheap meat from the other side of the world and save a fortune on not having to buy steroids for the gym😂
2
@ecnalms851 And have you bought any butter recently? Now in security cases in some stores as it’s so expensive.
2
They aren’t illegal.
2
@azapura Paul is an expert. Maybe he has a degree in entitled waffle? Who knows. Probably someone who sits behind a desk all day taking constant latte breaks...
2
Maybe a few rolls of offcuts.
2
@ThePixey1000 Why not blame the people that started it all - Churchill, Macmillan & Heath….
2
Nigel hopes that in picking Clacton he will have the attention of all his type of voters minimising the chance of being rejected for the 8th time. Hopefully the dolphin will stay on the beach.
2
You only have to check on an MPs voting record. The tories consistently vote to take money off the people that need it the most all whilst putting in huge expenses claims. The whole system needs bringing down and rebuilding but we all know that the red wall brigade are worried about 80million Turks coming to live next door to them so will keep believing the multi millionaires bullshite.
2
Gone really well since we gained control of our sovereign borders hasn’t it😂
2
@angh18 and do what? Deliver post whilst driving trains?
2
@angh18 You need to be qualified to drive a train, work as a nurse, or firefighter. The only job they could jump straight into is the postal delivery.
2
@90sgamer.person As I've said, you earn far more than a nurse who's far more qualified. No wonder you are happy getting loads of money to doss in a warehouse. Unskilled labour has never been so well paid.
2
@90sgamer.person I feel the same way John. You people sound like a broken record. The proverbial run a key down the side of a nice motor because it's better than yours springs to mind....
2
@bobblue_west So, in your myopic head why should train drivers on the London underground who pay 40% tax on part of their wages pay for people in Wales and Scotland to have free prescriptions?? The world doesn't work like that does it? I have no choice to pay extra for my groceries and cost of living thanks to a small percentage of the country thinking we are better than everyone else and voting to leave the EU. Silly answer Mill.
2
@1inchPunchBowl RMT do represent train drivers on London Underground.
2
@joemama6734 But the official rulings don't fit in with Matthew's way of thinking Joe. Don't quote facts - you will only confuse people.
2
Needs a pointy hat to match her dress.
2
@andyd2528 Probably The people's democratic Republic of Southend.
2
@tesssouter4521 I told the BNP when they knocked on my door a few years back that we are more than happy to vote for them if they repatriate us back to the Caribbean. The one condition was that they buy my home at full london valuation and put us in at least business class. Once the glaze from the chaps eyes cleared he walked off scratching his head. 🙂
2
" I'm lucky I'm self employed and get my accountant to claim everything back for me "
2
@TechNomadUK1 You obviously think you're entitled to more money. The only thing I can suggest is apply to work on the railway. You can't jump straight into a drivers job but you could apply to work on the platforms then apply for motors ( drivers job ) when the vacancies arise. Simples.
2
Should a footballer earn the same in 4 days that a train driver takes a year to earn?
2
Brylcreem.
2
We were always independent & a sovereign nation before Brexit. That old chestnut is complete nonsense.
2
@amaizinggrace7553 Her dad is a prince.
2
@britishproudvanman3082 Did you have a big Union Jack at the back of your van after voting Brexit to pretend you were being patriotic?🤣
2
Yea
2
That's a bit like me saying why my taxes go up north. Are you one of those that voted Brexit because it was your money going into the EU pot even though the poorer parts of the UK were the most heavily subsidised??
2
London underground is the oldest transport system in the world that receives the least in subsidies from central government, one reason it's so expensive.
2
Support the RMT for the strikes but Eddie talking about the UK breaking up and Scotland leaving the union is exactly what the RMT advised it's members to do during the referendum by voting to leave the EU. No point in talking about it now Eddie as the damage has been done, same goes for the government removing rights to strike and protest...
2
@steffanjennyburrup5801 The unions no longer have any say in how labour are run. RMT are no longer affiliated to Labour. That’s old news. Whilst I appreciate we only have 2 choices there’s no way I would ever vote for the Tories. At least with Labour there’s a better chance of holding onto the NHS. The tories and Brexit have well and truly ruined the UK. NHS will be next stop for the tories or Reform if they ever got in.
2
So why after leaving the EU is it ten times worse neil??
1
You've just quoted drivers money at 10k less than what the salary is. I paid 40% tax on a chunk of my money, that and the ridiculous amount of N.I. contributions made it not worth doing any extra work. We got clobbered for everything unlike the self employed who wack everything thru the accountant.
1
Why were labour responsible for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? How did they introduce terrorism to our streets? And how were they responsible for young white girls being molested? Seems most of your comment radiates around one thing Anthony.
1
The problem with the first part of your comment is that they won't spend the money in this country, it will go into off shore hedge funds. The media are run by half a dozen billionaires that got everyone to vote to leave Europe but none of them live or pay taxes here....
1
If that’s the case why is it that we’ve not long finished paying the loan back to slave owners less than a decade ago? You still have some of the elite sitting in property that shouldn’t be theirs.
1
No plan waffle. Sounds like the chancellor has gained a sun tan and gone into Sunaks gaslighting speech mode.
1
@90sgamer.person You've missed the point. You said that a train driver should know what they signed up for. If you haven't worked out why I said what I said no wonder you work in a warehouse. I was so crap at my job that I'm retired and writing this on a beach in Greece at 54 .
