Some ( quite a few ) employ their families on 45k ( or whatever the max is now ) a year plus expenses. One MP ( tory )allegedly had his wife AND girlfriend down working for him, no doubt that's why that particular pisstaker consistently claims in excess of 200k each year in expenses. His constituency is a shit hole.

  25. The people earning 20k a year isn't the fault or anything to do with firefighters is it? Fire fighters are professionally trained people that put their lives at risk every day and night they clock in. Those on minimum wage are probably doing a job that doesn't need any training or has any responsibility. I'm not knocking them but you can't blame one section of society fighting for their rights to be the fault for others crap wages can you.

  26. @Old greg Actually, out of the original 3.8 million EU migrants 800,000 ( or there abouts) claimed benefits whilst here Greg. The remaining 3 million paid 4 times in taxes and N.I. contributions than the others took out so effectively paying for the others and then some. ( Fullfact - source ) As the other commenter mentioned, if you get your information from the shit rags it's no wonder you voted the way you did. Unfortunately, as you are old you will need these " foreigners " at some point to help keep you alive. Fingers crossed you can get in at the hospital..

  28.  @colinsixhitter3303  Yes Colin it's certainly not like any normal job outside. I was an instructor for 10 years and a guard/ driver for 23 before that. Came across many very clever people from outside that applied and not many had much in the way of common sense, hence the failure rate was about 40%. The job went downhill about 10 years ago when they stopped recruiting thru the grades and started employing uni grads with media degrees. I do recall one of them having a complete meltdown, crying her eyes out when she managed to block both the Up and down on 4 platforms. Wasn't pretty..

Not forgetting how many people get weekends/bank holidays off, rostered hours, meal breaks, paternity/maternity leave etc etc. ALL these benefits have been fought for by unions and their members over the years. Peoples mortgages have doubled, utility bills quadrupled and thanks to the B word our groceries from point of source to the shelves have increased by up to 40% so that's why as you quite rightly mention where the footfalls gone. The rich never spend their own money, its the working classes that keep the economy thriving. You still see idiots complaining about rail workers money especially drivers and often comparing it to other jobs like stacking shelves at the supermarket. Looks like the posh toffs divide and conquer works on the myopic. Stay safe on the doors fella. 👍

Because over the years WE have lost thousands in pay fighting for what's right. Imagine if Nurses, fire fighters, police, etc had decent unions rather than the ones that roll over and have their tummy tickled like they have now? Yes, decent wages...

Housing estates are carefully planned with mixed income households so no posh enclaves like here and also everyone can afford to live in the city if they choose to unlike here. You can keep making things up if you like and if it helps you to put your tick in the tory box again. ..
