  1. FURTHERMORE, if you look at the vote records, which you can look up, more Republicans voted FOR the civil rights act than democrats, and more democrats voted no than republicans did. Without as many Republican votes as it got the Act would have failed horribly. This is objective, factual stuff regardless of personal view or feelings, it's just historical record and math. There's no excuse to be ignorant to it.

The dad bod thing never made sense to me, I never worked out a day in my life until I had NIECES, and now it's gym 2 hours a day, diet locked down, losing weight like crazy, getting yoked, because I have someone to live for. I want to be around for as long as possible to help raise and protect these girls, and they're not even my kids. I'd be working even harder if I had kids. When I was single and had no reason to get jacked, I was 310lbs. When I think of Dad Bod in my head, I think of one of those firefighter fundraiser calendars where they'll all like 300lbs of muscle at 5% bodyfat. A dad is a protector and that requires top shape.

  11. I have a CS degree, it's kind of a dead end unless you want to get that 10 years experience to get an entry level job. If I had it over to do, and I tell young people this, chemistry or bio, or a combo of both, and you're golden. Those two disciplines touch EVERY modern industry.

  12. Rites of passage in my mind, driving, graduating high school, getting laid, reaching 40 with no marriages or bastard kids, getting married, having kids, starting a business. Things like being debt free, that's not a rite of passage that's ADULTING. Next paying bills will be a rite of passage, living in your own place a rite of passage, first hooker lol.

If I was a woman, I would be 100% in support of mandatory paternity testing, because I'd want that man on irrefutable, official record as the father of that kid, for legal reasons at the very least. That way there can be no questions, no weirdness later. I'm an adopted child, I have amazing adoptive parents, but even at that you know how hard it was growing up knowing that and NOT to toss that "You're not my REAL dad you can't tell me what to do" card?

  14. I like the prenup where if EITHER party leaves, ALL your assets are taken and donated by the state to a charity. NO ONE wins, everyone leaves with nothing, so it's incentive for BOTH to stay, and you toss in some better tax benefits to incentivize getting into said hard to leave union.

  15. I like the idea of the STATE taking EVERYTHING in a divorce. The house, the vehicles, the money, the KIDS go to foster care until they're 18, the couple ends up destitute on the street, back at zero. If divorce/marriage failure had equality of punishment, people would be more serious and deliberate about it! Is starting over after divorce meant really starting over, you'd work to not get there.

  19. The gym to me is not a social space. It's a dedicated facility for a purpose. Do you go to the car dealership to socialize? No you go there to buy a car. I don't go to planned Parenthood for an abortion, because I'm a man, so I don't go to the gym to socialize, UNLESS it IS a social event at the gym, like my YMCA has a yearly fundraiser gala, that's different, but it's also literally a social function, so the purpose is socializing. Use tool for their purpose. We have way too many people trying to install a lightbulb with a hammer and it's breaking society.

I noticed this at the gym the other day, now I'm not saying this chick was at all interested in me, I wasn't at all, but I go to a treadmill after using a machine near her (she was sitting using her phone, sigh), and she walks all the way over, past 10 other treadmills, to the end of the row where I am and starts using the treadmill behind me. Just seemed weird, all this space and you somehow end up by me, and all the awareness I have is wondering why lol. Its almost creepy. Can women be creeps?

If I'm going to be responsible for something, I'm taking charge of it. I had a coworker running a project, he had some issues, I gave him some guidance on how to deal with those issues, maybe I was like 1% a dick about it lol, and he comes back with "WELL, you're the Director of the department, so ultimately you're responsible if this fails". I replied you're right, and with that you're relieved, I'm stepping in and taking over, guys, hey guys, stop that, go over there and start on XYZ instead, I'm taking charge, we're getting this done. He went and sat in the work truck for two hours after that, sulking, what a leader lol. Wouldn't even help after that. If you tell me it's my responsibility, to me that's you giving up your responsibility and surrendering the authority you had to me.
