F-ing 2023, we're here actually having to explain to zoomers how finance works and that no, you do not own anything you have financed, your financiar owns it. You just get to use it. It's like renting, you don't own your apartment, you're just the guy paying someone to live there. You don't pay, you get evicted. You don't pay your car loan, you get evicted from your car. It's a pretty straight-up agreement from the start, I didn't know there was confusion about this.

Or you could be a dependable person in two ways, by meeting your work responsibilities AND driving in a proper way in which you don't crash like an idiot. Especially in a job where you have to be actually present for your work to function. Work from home is an impossibility for most jobs.

You know what pisses me off the most about all this: People like me who worked through the pandemic in a job where THOUSANDS of people relied on me, where people and even society would collapse if I didn't work, I LOST money by working, while people got to sit on their ass and make MORE than me on federal dole unemployment. I run a water plant. Our people literally LIVED at our workplace to keep the water running for people, for months. I had DHS paperwork to get me through checkpoints in case they shut down the country. I could have quit, said f everyone, let the taps go dry probably, and made money doing it. Keep that in mind when you flip a light switch or run your water tap.

It's like wearing Prada boots that cost more than your rent on the way to the woke protest. The whole idea is to be hypebeast and virtue signal/moral self-license for the social app crowd. Yeah, that's all been happening for over a decade. It's been a modern nightmare for quite a while. My 2010 Expedition can do 24/7 connected vehicle tracking, navigation, oil and maintenance monitoring, even over the air software/firmware updates. That's a 2010, and it was a standard feature then, so this was in place and standard even 13 years ago. It has remote start, so it would logically follow it has remote KILL. If you can tell it to start, you can tell it to never start.

If you're offering $525k, and then it's oh wait, no, you can't have this extra time for inspection and due diligence, you have to buy right now don't think!...that's a red flag, I'd say the offer went down to $500k Because there's something they don't want you finding until it's too late.

Imagine driving your injured child to the hospital as an emotional human being, and because of this UNSAFE driving in an IMPAIRED state, you kill some other family. Maybe the self-driving features would NOT have been thusly incapacitated and gotten you there safer? Also, I live where there is a 45 minute ambulance response time, or a 15 min drive yourself to the ER, but trying to make that drive in 14 minutes you'll do it reckless, and then you'll rightfully get stopped by a state trooper or something. The time to train is now so when there is an actual emergency, you're working under pressure rather than reacting badly and speeding recklessly to the hospital. A car that shuts down because you're driving like an idiot, endangering your kid, is probably a good thing. Enhance your calm. Injured child is a time to NOT get all worked up or upset or EMO. That's not a very well thought out reaction.

If I get taxed to work for an employer, YOU get taxed for working for yourself. Sorry, until no one gets fucked, we ALL have to get fucked. #equality. I'm just pissed that people are out here making money and not paying taxes, while I get my W2 and see that oh wait, the thousands you paid in via withholding, not enough, you still owe, meanwhile I see people I supervise who make slightly less than me rake in thousands in 'refunds' and 'rebates' and 'credits'. Success is punished, poverty is rewarded, rant over.

Title 18 only applies to persons. Therefore if a corporation is not a person, they're exempt from all federal criminal statutes. And we can't have that. So they've been people, since the 1600s. You either get corporate personhood, or zero legal consequences for a non-person corp, pick one.

@zachbondurant7203 no, corporations have to be people to be held liable under criminal law. Non persons are subject to none of the laws of the US. Not a person, you are immune to any criminal charge, because we only prosecute persons.

THAT'S a street in downtown Manhattan on a late summer day? Holy shit, now, it was pre-pandemic, but I stayed a week in downtown St Louis City over 4th of July 2019, a city FAR, FAR smaller, and the streets were PACKED with people. Manhattan in this video looks like St Louis City at night lol. Not a good sign.

@Me__Myself__and__I you mean taxes would plummet instantly as all those companies left the US for places they didn't get taxed as much. You can't fall into the trap of paying people to leave you. It's like I say about sales tax rates, if it's 7.5% in this town, and almost 10% a town over, you're paying me to shop elsewhere for less. In many cases the drive costs less than the tax difference. Also, look online. If the price of shipping is less than the price to drive, and I'm not in a hurry, I just got paid not to drive to your location, and if I can dodge the sales tax entirely online, even better. As prices and taxes rise, people will find ways to avoid it or just outright not participate.

If it's a metal fitting into a plastic housing IT WILL CRACK AND BREAK IT. First rule of plumbing and piping, plastic screws into metal, metal does NOT screw into plastic. You have two materials of differing strengths, and the plastic WILL yield to that metal fitting, boom, coolant jacket cracked, battery on fire, people will die and it'll be totally metal. Another example: When you change the transfer case fluid on a 2007+ Ford Expedition or F150, if you aren't careful when you put the drain and fill plugs back in, to the proper torque and no more, the steel tapered thread drain plug WILL split the aluminum transfer case wide open and now you're out thousands. That's metal to metal. Even high pressure plastics like Schedule 80 threaded fittings will crack like an egg if you screw a brass fitting into it even a in/lb too much.

Microservices architecture, the Achilles heel of the current online ecosystem. Its greatest strength IS its greatest weakness: decentralization. When all the disparate parts work, everything works. When one microservice breaks though, it breaks everything. It also makes you cancelable, Parler being a prime example.

Why lock or brick the car when they can just push the "Recall" button like a drone and it self-drives back to a collection area once you park it.

@The_Ballo states may vary. I get a very nice, fancy, certified and emboss stamped title here in MO, and only one can exist per vehicle. Why would the DMV spend tons of money housing all that? They outsource title holding to owners and require YOU to have it to get plates or make sales.
