  9. People will have unemployment. Unemployment insurance can be expanded and extended. Welfare rules can eased. Local and state governments can be given more money from the federal government. No one in the U.S. needs to starve unless the Republicans only continue welfare for the rich. Everyone does not need a check, I don't need a check, that's ridiculous. Corporations can issue bonds and stocks. If not, they should go bankrupt and can be recreated like GM was in 2008.

  10. Justice Hussein The debt/poverty crisis started under Ronald Reagan and has continued to get worse as debt has grown faster than GDP. That's the fault of Congress with cutting taxes and spending more money done by both parties. The current liquidity crisis started before the Coronavirus outbreak when the Federal Reserve got involved in the repo market. It's really the Federal Reserve's fault for allowing too much cheap credit. As for new loans, there are so many people becoming unemployed and so many businesses going under, it's unlikely there will be many loans to be made for a while.

Daily cost of living inflation for the poor and middle class is always higher than official figures. Zero inflation would require a balanced budget, balanced spending and fair taxation.   36. Eddy Winata I will grant you that not all wealthy are selfish and actually care about their company and employees. You are right that businesses have become aware that costs of doing business in China may exceed any potential profits. As far as stocks go, the pattern of large swings is typical for a market that has peaked. The news about trade talks is totally made up and don't believe any of the swings have anything to do with the news. International trade is critical to the U.S. economy and these figures are plummeting. Manufacturing, housing and auto sales don't look good. Services and government deficit spending can't sustain the economy. I don't think we are heading for a 2008 style crash, more like a up and down malaise like in the 1970's to 1980's.

The Federal Reserve increased money by 2 trillion dollar in a month on top of the 2 trillion passed by Congress along with a trillion dollar budget deficit. 4 trillion dollars created in a month. That's equal to about a third of all the current economic activity in the U.S., soon the increase in money will be 50% of the GDP. Do you think anyone in the Federal Reserve has a clue how hyperinflation gets started?
