If there were economists instead of stock investors in the Fed, they’d know that money velocity will accelerate as the economy opens up from the pandemic causing more inflation. War in Ukraine has almost no effect on inflation in the U.S.

  32. Kevin Costner Trillions, right. Capital gains and dividends are taxed below regular income tax. Inheritance is close to tax free income. Social Security money is not welfare since its not supplemented by any taxes outside social security taxes. There's no reason Medicare taxes should be capped. You don't like taxes. I don't like farmer welfare payments, excess military spending, useless wars, overblown Pentagon projects and most of all, off the books spending that's totally unaccounted spying and black ops in the budget.

  47. BigCooter.com Just read your comment about Tesla. Things looked a lot worse for Tesla a few months ago when I was a skeptic. Since then, Tesla has come up with the most advanced AI computer for self-driving vehicles. It also is consistently racking up millions more data miles for self-driving than anyone else in the industry. It's self-driving is consistently more advanced than anyone else in the industry. Battery costs have dropped dramatically. Watching Tesla is like watching the take off of the first successful trans-Atlantic flight, or maybe Amazon coming back up from the 2008 crash. I would not be surprised if every auto company would be using some, if not all Tesla technology in 5 years.

  49. Dan Ferguson Large corporations steal technology all the time in the U.S. That's why there are so many lawsuits and multibillion dollar settlements. The little guys simply get their technology stolen and must settle for half at best because they can't afford a long protracted fight. That's how and why 'patent trolls' got started. They bought the patents from the little guys and had the resources to sue these huge corporations. The little guys got some money, then could see some justice by the big corporations having to pay huge amounts in settlements, even if they didn't get a part of it.
