  5. i think the main problem is alot of anti gun folks are very extreme. they refer to any firearm that looks like a soldier would use as an assault weapon rather than actually looking at what the real deffinition of assault weapon is. i also think alot of gun folks like mags larger than 10 rds cause when target shooting it is fun to have 30 rds.me i just look at it logically, only about 3% of the guns in america are actual assault weapons (cont)

  21. they dont, they use semiauto rifles, per the ATF an assualt rifle is a fully automatic military spec rifle. The guns refered to as "assault rifles" are civilian spec designed for civilians. to purchase a true assault rifle one can easily spend in excess of $5000 and have to go thru a mountain of paper work its simply a pain in the back side to get a real assault rifle

  35. heres the problem, true "assault weapons" are fully auto per the atf. and i agree with you there. no reason for full auto, i mean its fun, but honestly unless your fighting a war its useless. AR-15's and AK-47 (civilian models) are semi auto, they are a blast to shoot, to hunt with, and for home defense though not my first choice, they work great. do they have a place YES i believe so

  40. you are aware that only about 3% of the civilians that own firearms in the USA are Actual assualt rifles. per the ATF an assault rifle is a fully automatic rifle. minimum price $5000 and a mountain of paper work. the guns you are refering to are civilian models and are semi automatic. in fact if you can logically tell me why you think a 223/5.56 AR-15 is more dangerous than a ruger mini 14, ill sell all my guns and support a total gun ban.

  44. apparently you didnt catch the whole i have carried a gun most of my life including 2 yrs of high school with out a single insident. me being a threat is like saying everyone behind the wheel of a car is a drunk driver, its crazy talk. as for banning assualt weapons (the real full auto ones) i dont see a problem with that, but to ban ar-15's simply because they look like mill spec guns is crazy, a ruger mini 14 is the same thing as an ar just looks like a hunting rifle

EXAMPLE BEING: alcohal, drugs, prostitution, and our previous gun ban, when each of these were banned/still banned crimes involving them inceased. Personally i think gun laws are fine the way they are. infact i think that the carry portion of the laws should be relaxed simply because its proven than criminals fear armed citizens. civil war is un-nessisary at this point. but if i was going to start it all over i would make it mandatory for every able bodied male to do at least one year active duty in the military, after that it would be their choice to continue or not.
