  12. I get the big city thing. I moved to a small town 12 years ago and now venturing into the city stresses me out -- it is fun for about 10 minutes and then I am over it! Beautiful lighthouse area.

  19. Damn, I also lived in Dana Point above Doheny. Lived in San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano. I liked the area back 40 to 50 years ago but it sure has changed! Thanks for the memories.

  38. I think it is fun and satisfying to have disparate ingredients and come up with something good to eat. This is such a beautiful spot and the sound of the ocean was amazing -- for a second I swear I got a whiff of the ocean. Yes! the ritual, tools and process of making the coffee is all a fun part of the experience. I just got a wooden chopstick for stirring and a wood scoop for measuring to go along with my new Aeropress.

  45. Totally with you on the holiday thing. Doesn't matter to me at all. It is nice to have a day off but I always offered to work for people who had families and really wanted to spend it with them. My holiday was always my day of birth, which I never shared with others, just had a special day of doing whatever the hell I wanted! and I always managed to have that day off.
