@neeneko what's wrong with forcing a people group to live in another country which they dislike , what's the huge moral issue with for example Albanian inhabited north western Macedonia or Hungarian inhabited Romania . People lots of times want separation out of nationalism rather than a quest for freedom . Smaller isn't better either . Also ethnic Africa would've been way worse than what we have today . It would've been a cesspool of separatism , irredentism and nationalism . Western Europe isn't ethnically homogeneous yet is peaceful due to the fact that borders are respected there .
1
@neeneko well still . Readjustment is not going to fix the issue , there will always be some minorty , North Korea is nationalistic not free . In 21st century country no natio rules another , individuals rule individuals .

@KyuQem liveuamap doesn't say that Kharkiv fell ? Maybe some other city but idk .
1
Russia isn't a dictatorship it's tragic democracy as everyone that runs against Putin ends up killing themselves with 2 shots to the head so Putin has to run the country
1
@SaturatedCat keep people in like a prison? If that you mean disallowing acts of rebellion on its territory and making the separatist side negotiate then yes . But following your logic there are no democracies as every country has those laws
1
@frankrenda2519 stopping trade is a right . Invasions aren't . Moldova wouldn't loose people because they disobey the eu but they would if it was Russia
1
@frankrenda2519 trading is a privilege . I have no obligation to trade with someone . Security is a right . I have no right to use force on someone
1
@SaturatedCat ghandi used economic means to pressure the British to free India and didn't go agaii the British constitution . Gorge Washington did that in 1774 . Different time . Succession without permission is an act of rebellion in every country . Be it Spain Russia USA Norway Vietnam India ect
1
@SaturatedCat if Spain amends it constitution and gives them the right then there is a legal way Scotland negotiates for independence for years with UK government and the referendum was done with governmental permission . Very different situation
1
@SaturatedCat and other countries have those laws . Its ilegal to change the territories of a country without its permission
1
@SaturatedCat ghnadi was imprisoned wrongly but seccesion was done legally via economic means . India had the UK's permission
1
Says who ?
1
Snake island
1
@bachelor3846 Georgia was one of the first countried to introduce gender equality and was one the few countries tolerant of Jews. King David the IV even introduced protections for Muslims in Georgia (despite being Christian) . Georgia has history of being western
1
Russia isn't stronger .
1
@maurituomisto8007 power is the capacity to engage in activities around the world and determine their outcome In this regard the west has a global reach with much more options thus is more powerful
1
@maurituomisto8007 willingness to use force is also determination
1
Good
1
@drago939393 nationalism. For the glory of the Alan state an ossetian wouldn't hesitate to murder his neighbour . Same goes for everyone
1
Little results ?
1
Imagine USA annexing Mexican and Canadian lands . How'd they react ?
1
Russia at most has like 300 javelins Probably very few clus though
1
Western tanks have better optics

Because they're submissive
1
@RustedCroaker do you think you know better than a Georgian ?
1
People will wear an extra cost and use the metro alright. It's not the end of the world
1
Ukraine is operating on its own side of the borders Russia is the agressor here
1
How was 2014 in Ukraine a coup ? Verkhovna rada voted against yanukovich and the majority of ukrainians supported that
1
@tomk3732 the only analysis the Russians will manage to do on them is the aftereffects of being blown apart by them
1
So you're telling me Ukraine has lost 170k troops ?
1
@coala1980 Ukraine is neither chechnya nor Syria
1
Russia is the arsonist here . They could just leave Ukraine and Georgia alone
1
All of those were caused by Russia
1
And what would the problem be if Finland tried to join nato
1
@silyshkin5223 yeah but what's wrong with a country joining nato
1
@silyshkin5223 that seems like a russian problem
1
Who's in konotop
1
@gamermapper none of the places you commented about had genocide committed against them . Hell in abkhazia separatists committed ethnic cleansing against Georgian majority there
1
USA destroyed around 3300 Iraqi tanks over a period of 4 months in 1991 Russia has destroyed 470 Ukrainian tanks over a period of 12 months
1
Gaining 40 meters a week isn't a a massive victory
1
Russians are halted too though They managed to take 2 towns and then stopped because of high casualties
1
@Etzellll Georgian nationalism was a reaction to separatism . Not to mention it's overblown . Abkhazia and south ossetia receive free electricity and healthcare from georgia .
1
@Etzellll they got it wrong . If Georgia was so nationalistic then it wouldn't have agreed to a majority abkhazian parliament . Abkhazian and ossetians were no less nationalistic than Georgians
1
@Etzellll our nation wasn't necessarily threatened but it was under the ussr through conquest . The ussr was autocratic and unfree . Georgia is a relatively democratic state and somewhat free . Ossetians and abkhazians separated because they had a national myth . It's like north western Macedonia and Albania. The people there wanted separation because they had their own loyalties different from Tbilisi . Just as much as Albanian might claim a part Montenegro out of irredentism so did the separatists . The cause for separatism was they wanted to see an "unified ossetia" and an abkhazia within Georgians
1
The opposite of approval is disapproval .
