@SmallManBigWorldGlobal Portugal, we queue up at the local Saude in the morning and are seen that day.
1
@cjweldy very true!
1
@Captain_MonsterFart Novi Sad was heavily bombed by NATO forces - she was at school at the time and told me her family stories.
1
@leplane_ I always enjoy conversations with Serbians. Very British sense of humour - even one of their favourite comedy shows originates in the UK.
1
@tipr8739 Unfortunately, I've only travelled there in Autumn or Winter - we were hoping to travel there last Summer.
1
Penang... wonderful place
1
We are seriously considering Malaysia... we've travelled to Vietnam - I'm concerned about the heat... I guess there's always up in the hills?
1
@milan51259 I'm going now!
1
@diaservices3454 Plenty of places you can get citizenship without cost - he mentions on numerous occasions - see his videos. You might have to live there for a while on a residency visa and after 5 years get citizenship but they won't want $100k or if you have ancestors from Europe, that's another route.
1
@dionfolaa8102 shes the calming influence on my life!
1
@johnm9222 We are very fortunate - no children.
1
Easy to get residency in Ecuador, Panama or Mexico without a business - just show that you can support yourself and have health insurance. Just tell them you want to live in their country long-term, that's enough reason.
1
@maxflight777 Thanks! We don't want a car - hopefully living near Porto and want to have an easy life.
1
@joaoportugal8618 thanks! Great people, great food and great country!
1
It does feel like that!
1
We are from England and currently persuing another two residencies - not currently interested in denouncing my UK passport. We want to exit the UK forever and travel the world perpetually until we find the 'Best' for us.
1
Who would ever have thought 'freedom of movement' would be curtailed - from Jolly Olde England...!
1
In the early 1960s gold sovereigns were valued at £1 each - they are now worth £394 each. That's what a currency collapse looks like - even for a modern western country. Diversify.
1
Have you thought of the advantages of a residency and later citizenship in Portugal?
1
Only an analyst would ask that question
1
Penang is nice
1
No cost no effort
1
Just gain another tax residency elsewhere. Easily done.
1
@VoiceOfThe My tax residency is Portugal and have left HMRC. I have no ties to the UK.
1
TheGamingAlong do you mean Penang or George Town?
1
Please publish some videos on Ecuador. Vilcabamba /Loja/Cuenca - real estate/tax/new easy residencies/culture/business. I've been following Ecuador for some time.
1
@majortom8047 Plenty of Portuguese want the recent immigrants from the US to leave.
1
@tbbarabara we have applied for a residency elsewhere and will hopefully get approval by Christmas. Portugal is a place for a short visit not a lifetime commitment
1
I think it's 99 days in the UK
1
True. Plenty of places around the world, why limit yourself to such a small part of the world and its rich opportunities?
1
Central/Eastern Europe -> Arab world -> LATAM -> Asia next??
1
@Carolinapetroska very few new mm2h applicants for new visas.
1
Porto is worth a visit.
1
It seems Nomadic Capitalist is the 'go to' resource - I know whenever I discuss residencies or CBI's, Andrew's name cor Nomad Capitalist comes up. So, whatever you're doing is working... in the UK.
1
@maxflight777 Thank you, we both love it!
1
@gugy68 23 years is a long time. Modern infrastructure, great internet speeds and many nationalities living happily. Proud of traditions but still part of a modern trading bloc.
1
@sarahhernholm8652 How did your trip go?
1
@maxflight777 thank you!
1
@loredanalopez4462 We intend to stay and enjoy NHR in Portugal.
1
@7x779 They? The robots??
1
@CivisCaeliBr yes and a missing Trump impression!!!
1
@JeanLeBon-d3t you do need to visit and stay in Sarawak for 14 days every year to keep the S-MM2H - renewal every 5 years with S-MM2h, I understand, instead of 10 years with the 'old' MM2H. I wonder if you stayed last two weeks in December and first two weeks in January - every two years - does that count??
1
@AlexBosy It is according to my Portuguese immigration lawyer and few websites I've seen. What's your information?
1
WOW! Thought-provoking.
1
@cenapturgut I do not understand? I'm British who lives in Portugal - I would consider myself European.
1
Very few true democracies in the world - choose wisely.
1
You consider the UK to be safe? Maybe twenty years ago.
1
@larsw.larsen4173 I guess it depends if the locals think it’s ‘healthy’ - many have left Italy, Spain and Greece.
1
I've seen many YouTube videos recently on JB & KT.
1
@basicfilmblog Portugal had a special tax regime for up to 10 years - we arrived 2 years ago
