No truer words have been said.
1
Jimmy, you and Robert Reich need to have a talk.
1
Alex looking like Tom the tomatoe haha
1
If you cut regulations and taxes it will only strengthen the ties to corporate funding and lobbying by large private interest groups.
1
You're focusing on the distribution aspect and not the ownership of Capital aspect. Which is essential to Marxist economics.
1
@whatacrazyride1658 you aren't far off. A pretty decent basic understanding. And it isn't merely alienation from labor but out fellow workers as well. We become atomized and forced to compete to produce the same good for the same employer. As for the concept of alienation, you were as close as someone can get. Workers produce goods, the more goods produced the more labor was likely involved. The more sales of those produced goods results in a value that was higher than it cost to make the finished good, including labor and maintenance of the enterprise. The workers receive the same pay no matter how well sales do while the Capitalist increases their wealth. If anyone believes that is functional or fair, they have alot of explaining to do.

Id like to see pocket neighborhoods, bungalow courts, row homes and courtyard apartments along with single family detached homes. No high rises, no bland soul crushing condominiums etc.
1
So instead let it be randomly decided by swing states with their major cities making choices for the majority! Great strategy.
1
@Frith_V he hates direct democracy. Who said he likes it?
1
Definitely do not get rid of the FDA, that's preposterous. And we definitely should have the government serve as the national insurer for citizens.
1
None of that means they should not have housing. They are working with what they have.
1
But Ron Paul is a free market capitalist shill who would cut necessary programs and would ensure small businesses never recover.
1
To be fair, Rishi should not be the Prime Minister of Britain. He's not British. Imagine if the Prime Minister of India was a white British guy named Johnny Chestnut 3 or some shit. Oh wait, we don't have to imagine it. It was called British India and it was a colony that many still point to as a form of racist oppression. Apparently it's ok to do it to White countries though.
1
I used to be a huge fan of Joe Rogan. Plenty of criticisms of him. But never have I thought he was a supremacist.
1
I read yesterday that the majority or the truckers oppose the convoy and that 90% of truckers are vaccinated, though it didn't say if they were vaccinated to the altered standard. David Doel did a video on this two. Amazing how two different Leftists come to different conclusions. I tend to side with Jimmy in this case because David loves the mainstream medias advice for some reason.
1
Trump is unfortunately not left wing at all economically. Hes not pro union, he's anti federal regulation, hes anti tax increases on the rich etc
1
We are American. The president of America was elected to improve the lives of Americans. We should not at all care what other nations do towards their own ppl. We should be largely self sufficient and not impose sanctions nor provide aid to foreign nations...

You know, Jimmy, this guy's argument about bailing out businesses doesn't make much sense even of you use his blood flow argument. The land a business is on is only worth what it makes. A business owner pays rent to the landlord because a profit is expected to be made using that property. But if the blood (aka consumer spending) does not flow to the business then that means the business is spilling blood to the heart (landowner) which isn't being pumped back where it needs to. So what do you do when you have blood pouring out an need to stop it? You cut it off, the circulation or you cauterise it. The landowner won't be making anything because the business which uses the property isn't making anything. So it all needs to be paused. If we give that money to the business then it will be like putting blood into a wounded person who is losing blood but it will only increase the amount that's spills instead of helping that blood flow where it needs to. So even using his argument it falls on its face.

But they aren't lying.

So a lab in Wuhan that was partly funded by the US is possibly responsible for this crisis? That makes America just as much to blame as China. Also, stop blaming random asian people lol. Then again, the increase in hate crimes have been overblown and it's not whyte people that are the primary perpetrators.
1
@MrMagnaniman no, because it was a one off. The reason it is the only solution is because no other action could result in the change we need. A single actor can't change anything. It takes collective action and many people to set a standard.
1
Can we not be far left and anti-islam? Because it used to be that the left hated religion and islam was one of the worst.
1
We don't have fully automatic guns in the US either.
1
Those who try to reject the association between race and religion deny the power of both.
1
Im not sure what's worse. Wasting American taxpayer money or that awful racist poem.
1
@danchristopher7957 wtf is wrong with all these simps for Palestine?
1
Tariffs being implemented across the board while we are still so dependent on imports is a big mistake. Penalizing so called American companies who outsource and/or hire immigrants should be prioritized. Subsidizing key industry in the US should be prioritizing. Nationalizing energy should be priority.

Sweeping things under the rug doesn't get rid of the dirt, it only hides it. Out of sight, out of mind. At least until it piles up so high too can no longer ignore the giant lump of undesirable things hidden under that rug or tossed into that closet. The closet will become too full too contain. The "junk" will force the doors open and you'll be left to clean up the mess. But by then it'll be even harder to deal with. Even more cumbersome. I find it ironic that progressives used to champion people "coming out of the closet" and telling everyone not to ashamed of who they are and then now they are literally telling people they don't like to stop being themselves, stop talking and as a matter of fact we'll make sure you do. It's very ironic.
1
Overfishing is one of the greatest threats to the ecosystem.
1
The ruling class are not white. They are joos and their affiliates.
1
Yes. Yes it literally does. Homelessness is caused by not having enough money to afford a home...
1
Elon Musk is running the country... We are slaves to his electric cars, grid and future policy decisions. He is in charge of the country and in charge of Trump. He's wealthier than Trump and more evil than Trump. Elon wants to control Europe and America via his wealth and land he owns around the world including cobalt mines in Africa.
1
So illegal immigrants can travel across the border and be considered refugees but a man (who is apparently American?) who is fleeing political persecution by a foreign government is not considered a refugee?
1
Nah, the problem is 100% a for profit health system. That's not debatable at this point. "Reduce the cost to 800$ per eye" ah yes, such a wonderful system that dropped the cost to still an unattainable price for 90% of Americans. What a great system!
1
Housing first initiatives, job programs, insane asylums, UBI, strict drug policy. Boom. The best of both worlds.
1
First of all, who cares about compassion? We should not have medicare for all because of compassion but rather because of how more functional our society would be if we had it. And yes, Ron and Rand Paul are definitely not compassionate people. They are hypocrites who love wealth and exploiting others for their personal accumulation.
1
They did partially privatize it though.
1
@thedalillama great! And millions would retire in abject abject poverty. Not to mention the Republicans introduced taxes on SS and have dipped into it and stole billions multiple times...
1
Republicans will use that statistic to prove that democrats are inferior, that they aren't as good at business as them and that they have to earn where they are and make smarter decisions, and then they will say that democrats are still mostly working minimum wage jobs because they continue to make poor decisions. Proving that democrats and their voters are not as good as Republicans. That's their argument. Not mine.
1
And certain services should not be subject to the market.
1
@nubzz i dont know how to answer your question because i don't know what it's asking. But the best I can answer is: services that are required for the continuation of life, where if said services being rejected or being out of price range would lead to unalivement, should be guaranteed to all citizens.
1
Ok, ill say it. This guy and his organization are not and do not see themselves as American but rather as African and openly advocate for a united Africa (which isnt possible), him and all his organization members ought be sent to Africa to fight on behalf of their movement there. They are not welcome to reside in this country, my country, the United States of America.
1
My mom says she's you're rocking that outfit Jimmy. I think you're rocking the boat and I hope it tips over. You truly are a maverick amongst all these political commentators.
1
Wow i can't believe it but i agree with every single thing Huckabee said. Nothing stated in those clips was a lie. There is no such thing as Palestine. Im not a Israel bootlicker, they have way too much power over our politics. I have plenty of criticism of them, but lets be real, the Palestinians are the worse of the two groups.
1
A study by Robert Putnam out of Harvard in 2007 was published in the New York Times proved that diversity led to lower volunteer rates, lower trust, lower voter turnout, higher crime, higher antagonisms between neighbors and increased isolation. Overall civil engagement declined more than 50%>
1
You can't call him a psychopath! That's homophobic!
1
This is why centrism and the middle road path don't work. It's a fork in the way but you're trying to straddle both paths. Eventually you have to pick one.
1
The problem is, most of these immigrants aren't desperate at all. They are coming here spending thousands to illegally be smuggled in. They buy property when they get here. Drive expensive trucks and other vehicles that probably even Jimmy can't afford. They are not desperate. They come wearing clothes that cost hundreds of dollars if not more. They have everything waiting for them over here. Housing, jobs, food money, etc. They aren't regulated and rhe law overlooks all of their business meaning they don't have to pass inspections and they dont need business permits. Our taxes pay for their education, healthcare and social assistance. Its blatantly unjust.
1
This union worker is full of shit though... I mean c'mon. He's just another gun loving idiot who cares more about his toys than the necessary regulations that must be put in place. He works for a union but hates socialism and supports Trump! Im so sick of people defending this guy simply because he's arguing with Status Quo Joe. And his female aide was trying to prevent him from speaking. Why allow him out in public to speak to people if you will just prevent him from speaking to people anyway? She can try to shush him but Joe can't shush her? Someone who works for him? Really? I dont care that he told her to shush. He had the right to. What i have a problem with is the double standards. Im not pro Biden, i hate Biden. Im not anti second amendment either.
1
I showed my mom this video and got extremely upset, talking about how "people like me just don't understand and want to see womn be groped"... My mother typically isn't an SJW but this was particularly snowflakey
