  2. Free speech hasn't existed for along time. The past 3 years or so have really made free expression fall apart. We gave the right to free speech up to corporations to decide whether it be YouTube or the NFL. And we see what those corporations do when they have the right to ban certain speech because it "threatens the platform". Trump is doing the same thing YouTube is doing. It's using so called "protected classes" as scapegoats to censor speech and ban the expression of people it deems harmful on its platform. YouTube should not have the right to make that call neither should the government

  8. Heres the thing, Bloomberg has bought his way into this election and just 2 videos ago there was an ad for him with some random musician I've never heard of. Its annoying and makes me cringe to see his ads. And he might very well have racist tendencies but is stating the fact that black communities have higher rates of crime racist? Absolutely not. He may be racist, but not for saying that those communities are crime filled or have more crime in them. This does not mean I support stop and frisk, I find it unconstitutional. But I'm also objective about this. I hate Bloomberg. I hate that he banned drinks from restaurants for being too big. I hate that he made it illegal to give baked goods to the homeless. As a homeless guy in a car that offends me, even though I live in South Carolina. So I despise him. But is pointing out that these communities have higher rates of crime racist? No. And similar to the TSA, humans specifically pick up on patterns. A white man wearing camo in the south is likely a Republican. Is that racist? It is a stereotype that has a high probability of being true... doesn't mean we should illegally stop them or harass them, but it does have a high probability of being true. Stereotypes exist for a reason. They are based on observable patterns. That's not racism. But, Bloomberg could very well be a racist. Just not for stating an undebatable fact.

Are alot of her ideas or lack thereof useless and unhelpful, sure. But the only thing that could be construed as racist is the idea that she supports stricter border policy.   18. Children don't seem asylum... Many of them are smuggled across the border. If children can be proven to be related to the adults they shouldn't be separated in the first place. I firmly believe that. But I also don't expect children to just be kept in a facility with adults they have no connection to.

  20. I have a better argument against Stuart. One that uses his own free market ideology. In Capitalism, the whole point of the business is to ring in sales. Its to pander to the community to buy their stuff. If the business has a bad pres relation or a bad marketing campaign well then congratulations, you won't make alot of sales because people akak customers will not shop at your store. So a change of scenery, decor and marketing strategy is enacted to reel in more customers. So to NOT pander to regular customers is bad capitalism because that means that customers are less likely to bring them business. Regulations or not it is smart business practice to convince your customer base and your workers that they will benefit from your organization existing, which is where the trickle down ideology comes from. Now if this actually happened then maybe there would be some legitimacy to it. Problem is, businesses don't give back to the community. They just rape it and move on. Keeping people just above water from drowning but not actually pulling them out of the dangerous sea.

  26. On the immigration thing, i tend to tough on immigration compared to other leftists (im a fucking socialist, so that's how left i am) but i support the wall. The problem is people already here. As for illegal immigrants earning 8-10 dollars, that's better than alot of citizens pay. They shouldn't be here, so it doesn't matter. Lets make it easier to apply for citizenship so they dont come here illegally. Lets make sure there are perks for entering illegally and becoming a citizen, like a basic income guarantee or universal healthcare. We should not allow undocumented citizens to own land or property though nor should we allow them to go to public colleges. We DO need to focus on our own citizens first instead of prioritizing random migrants that don't belong here. It pisses me off. Stop helping them, and help me. The person who works his ass off and still lives in a car because of the corporate capitalist state that oppresses us. Oh, and stop lumping latinos with immigrants. They may be the most frequent immigrants but its not them being Mexican thats the problem. And illegal immigrants shouldnt be able to vote and sway elections away from the people here legally, harming immigrant communities the most. But no one talks about that.

Bodily autonomy doesn't mean "I'm gonna do whatever I want with it" because that's irresponsible. We shouldn't overeat, but we can and sometimes do. We shouldn't drink alcohol daily but we can. We shouldn't wank one out all the time but we can. Just because something is legal or illegal doesn't change its functional and/or moral implications.   38. BTW if people have such an issue with recipients abusing welfare programs then support UBI!!! It's simple. It gets rid of regressive and bureaucratic programs that don't encourage growth and that actively disincentivise it. Aside from disability and and SSI, all welfare programs would and should be abolished in exchange for a universal basic income. There would be an act for new mothers that is basically an extension of WICK as well.

  44. Bernie should be guaranteed a position in this cabinet. There should be no consideration needed. But the issue I have with these proposed executive orders is that there is no and never was a Muslim ban. DACA should not be permanent but rather a one time thing. Instead, Bidens executive orders should be eliminating student debt, bailing out small businesses, releasing non violent drug offenders and pushing for at minimum a public option. I'm so tired of illegal immigrants getting all the love and sympathy. Deport them. The ones that can stay should be given permanent residency but not full citizenship.
