The property managers name wasn't on the lease? Where were you staying? A black market apartment that houses illegals? And even then, those property managers are on the lease agreement. Tenants unions should be made required either way.

When the law isn't on your side, you must take the law into your own hands and make one. Do not ask for permission, command those who rule to abide by your dictates or else.
2
@markpoultonsrules I would argue that the private accumulation of capital is dysfunctional and inefficient and that workers themselves should be in control of their own labor. I am not a fan of private property ownership. Though I am more focused on the private ownership of land. I'm not interested in what you individually put into your properties. Its not landlords I am refuting, it's the concept. It's the material relationship between a property owner and those who have none. You owning 1-2 properties is not the big threat. But it's still something that should be addressed. Farmers, grocers etc own their land and produce a good. Many goods. You, the landlord, do not. You provide something that very easily could be provided without you. I doubt you built these homes yourself, let alone by yourself. Even if you did, that doesn't warrant you the right to own many and profit off rent seeking. Adam Smith's argument objectively applies to the market today. If anything, it's more applicable now than it was then.

And if the majority picked "no confidence" a whole new election would need to be made. Hopefully with different, preferred candidates.
2
It has everything to do with migrants. Just like how mass immigration from the southern border is causing the same downward effect across the US. It is also true that private equity firms and large corporations are concentrating property.
2
I can't watch this. Immediately, you can hear a squeaky confused woman with awful facial hair. These are the same people who feed the private for profit pharmaceutical companies with their demand to have their delusions fed to them. It's a give away to these companies to have guaranteed lifetime customers. It takes away from the seriousness of actually suffering Americans who have actual healthcare needs that they go bankrupt for. I support universal healthcare, but that first person is not example of the "healthcare" that should be provided.
2
Now hold on. Im a huge anti capitalist, but why all of a sudden are parents supposed to care what their kids are being taught? Ive been told that parents don't have the right to be informed about their childs education and personal plan. Im told teachers need to protect their students from their parents awful ideology at home. So which is it? We should know what our schools are teaching or we are backwards bigots demanding we know what are kids are being taught?
2
Wages tend to remain low when we allow millions of immigrants into this country a year.
2
Yah, its called teaching kids useless garbage like trigonometry and how to get triggered by everything under the sun. Public education is a joke and almost always has been.
2
@Universal_Craftsman why should the government or anyone help "you" or anyone else? Because we live in a society where we all look out for one another for the common good of the country.
2
@Excalibur2 the world doesn't owe me anything. But as a society with a social contract we owe it to one another to look out for one anothers interest and well being both as individuals and as a collective. If not, why come together as a group? Why form relationships? Why construct laws? Why form a government and why call it "of the ppl, by the ppl for the ppl"? What does the Constitution say? To protect and provide for the security and welfare of its citizens, no? What does the Constitution guarantee us and why guarantee us anything? Free speech, to bear arms, to assemble in protest. Life liberty and property can only be guaranteed when we come together and respect one anothers existence otherwise it's a war of all against all, man against man and man against all. We created society to be above this. Also it took me nearly five years to become housed again because I'm autistic, incomes are outpaced by housing costs and the government doesn't provide enough assistance to place ppl in homes fast enough and to keep ppl housed to prevent homelessness in the first place. None of that is up for debate. These are unwavering facts. You can either accept facts or you choose to reject them. But don't you dare demand we reject them as well.

"I personally would never kill an innocent person that can't defend themselves, but I can't prevent you from doing it". There. Fixed it.
2
I still think conservative social policies and progressive economic policies make the best political environment. Weed should not be recreationally used and infanticide should not be choice. But strong labor protections are essential and corporate regulations are essential. As is ensuring everyone housing and healthcare. But certain things aren't healthcare, namely gender affirming care and abortion.
2
Oh no! Investment in communities for social purposes! God forbid we do that!
2
The free market is why there are only two major service providers. They won. The small pharmacies lost the competition that is the capitalist market precisely because their market was limited to their locality. CVS and Walgreens outcompeted the rest and became the giants they did because there was no government regulations enforcing anything, which allowed the market to consolidate.
2
These people want to work. But they also want to be guaranteed paid sick days and time off. They have the right to demand these things since they are the ones that make the company money.
2
America has already been destroyed. And it wasn't by so called Christian fascists.
2
I was never gonna buy one his stupid electric cars anyway.
2
If corporations paid their employees a living wage and the government guaranteed a basic standard of living, we wouldn't need welfare subsidizing low wages. Social policy is really going to get in the way. Because i believe cultural progressivism is a form of capitalist hegemony that benefits no one. But others think conservative values hinder necessary change. Thats the predominant divide.
2
Math isn't your forte is it?
2
Ban the ownership of more than 3 residential properties. Tax the passive income landlords and property owners make off rent, and make that tax marginal. Ensure that any household spending more than 30% of their monthly income on rent or their mortgage is automatically enroll into a subsidized program that assists in paying out. Ban foreign capital/ undocumented immigrants from renting or owning property. Provide a home building grant and a plot of land to any American family seeking to have multiple children.
2
I can't tell if you're trolling or not.
2
Of the people, by the people, for the people.

@Krill_all_health_insuranceCEOs i just realized. If we do in fact live on a small planet with finite resources then why would you want millions upon millions of ppl to be forced to share a tiny fraction of the small planet? Why would you want all those ppl from such a small world to move to another part of that small world and strain the living standards and resources of the ppl already living in their corner of it? Sounds illogical. And I just had an experience literally in the middle of writing this with one of these immigrants who can't speak English and who doesn't respect my property. He laughs. He's a landscaper with a leaf blower, terrified my cat then blew her food and her plate on my porch with the leaf blower. I got mad at him for doing that and he laughed at me. They take jobs. They take homes. They have no respect for this country or you. Stop respecting them.

1. Why is a foreign company/gov allowed to own any land or property in the US? 2. What an insurance agency need that much water for? 3. This is inadvertently proving even further that raising cattle is far more efficient and far less resource wasteful than agriculture. Vegans, accept you lost the argument. 4. Communal ownership of resources is necessary if we wish to have a future. 5. Newcomers to an area stain resources and are hardly ever a positive force for the locals.
2
I hate Repugnantcans too but the the richest politicians are all Democrats.
2
A non medical professional without a license to operate medicine is dictating to doctors what their patients need. Why? Go to the doctor, discover the problem, find a solution and go through with it, then the costs are covered by the government. Seems so simple.
2
If you're trying to appeal across the aisle to Trump voters, maybe stop bringing up "reproductive healthcare" every five seconds. And maybe start acknowledging the migration crisis and the housing affordability crisis and how you're going to fix those things.
2
That is a grievance of mine. Why not manufacture parts for public transit?
2
I hate Illhan Omar and I have given up on Bernie but this is a true pro family issue.
2
You should receive wage subsidies if your business is small and cannot keep up with inflation. You also, as an individual citizen, should receive a universal basic income like everyone. So there's that.
2
@PerryWagle Capitalists can afford whatever the like. But they still rely on government subsidies. Just because they CAN afford it, doesn't mean they will want to spend their own money to pay for it. So if we implement this plan, they will be disincentivised and will be less likely to do it. And if they do do it, then at least a bunch of revenue is collected to be used for housing and healthcare. And yes, anti trust laws can be used if it comes to that.
2
Conservatives and Progressives both want jobs in America. On economic issues, neither group actually have that big a divide. More libertarian, classical liberal types who often vote for either parties but are more common in the GOP, do however like deregulation and low taxation... Conservatives need to desperately escape their commitment to free market capitalism. Its not their ally. Conservatives (i am one) please support workers rights. Please reject the ethos of consumerism and individualism where it's every man and woman for themselves. Embrace community and family policies such as free school lunches, national health insurance, housing affordability, a universal basic income, social security expansion, union membership etc.
2
@EnZoDxGaming yes he does. I'm glad he said it. More need to recognize this.
2
If she is that disabled what does she do for money? She has a nice house and a few cats. That's expensive. I own cat. It's expensive. She doesn't even have a litter box. Anyway... I'm not denying that Dustie should receive medicaid or healthcare provided by the government in general, I emphatically support universal healthcare, but what does she do for work to afford her home?
2
Food wasn't exactly abundant in socialist states. The food that was simply wasn't as nice as the stuff we have today or even back then. This is coming from someone who identifies as a socialist. I recognize the problems of the previous model. But many don't. I hope you do.
2
I don't agree with that last bit but everything else you said is spot on.
2
So you admit you want workers to work hard for very little or else get replaced? Congratulations on being scummy commenter #1.
2
@christopherbasham1551 because the job is important enough to fill. There is no such thing as a job that requires no skill btw.
2
8 seconds in and I already disagree with Benny boi. Ironically, my disagreement comes from a market based perspective. Consumers have more purchasing power in the economy to buy things like hamburgers, where more frequent exchange of money is taking place, absolutely, undeniably and quantifiably without a doubt does in fact stimulate the economy. Far more than rich people saving their money, since it doesn't recycle back into it. As a free market thinker who loves facts and logic, you'd think Ben would be aware that cash flow exchanging hands on main street is a positive thing for the economy as it lowers costs (eventually) and forces greater productivity.
2
Ah yes, the power to choose who your corrupt slave owner will be. What a wonderful system of opportunities and choices.
2
@Cobalt985 well obviously no one should violate labor laws but why go to such an extreme? If it's a family businesses, it's their business. They run it as a family they way they want. You work there but you aren't family, so you don't get a say. Don't like it? Join a cooperative then. Create your own cooperative then. And yes, a local credit bank should absolutely support and assist people trying to start their own business cooperative. All private banks should be abolished in favor of a national credit union system that works with local state banks.
2
That's a great comparison. I never made that connection before.
2
@IdeletedRobinhood by definition, yes, the reason your desire doesn't contribute to economic demand for a Ferrari is because you can't afford it. Are you saying you don't work hard enough to earn money to pay for that car?
2
I could have sworn Disney provided food for their employees.
2
Are these people legal? Why can't they speak English!? I'm seriously infuriated. Also, screw mail in voting. Vote like a normal person.
2
I mean sure, that's part of it. But blame the supplier not the consumer.
2
I'm sorry but I have a hard time taking you seriously when you have Gavin fkn Noosesom saying these things. This man is a devil.
2
That would be awesome and well deserved.
1
Literally a tiny percentage of whyte ppl and most of those "whyte" ppl arent actually whyte but rather juice with the little hats.
