"These workers are building the largest renewable energy project in America" thats funny, the worker speaking sounds Mexican not American. Why might that be? Could it be because its immigrants getting these jobs instead of Americans? Also, wind farms are a scam. Hydroelectric, geothermal and nuclear energy are the future. Solar panels are for parking lots and individual houses.
1
Mandated overtime? Uh, overtime is federally protected and is supposed to be purely up to the individual worker...
1
In many places that's illegal now
1
@dianaaustin9448 definitely not as the green house would be its own structure. The banning of gardens is predominantly in cities (so therefore likely democratic) but the first cities to do so seem to have been in Texas.
1
All races except those who illegally forced their way into this country and directly benefit these large corrupt capitalists. Workers of the world unite. But you must be workers of the world, not immigrants of the world demanding they be here.
1
Not all. Not those who illegally came here and are taking over our communities. They benefit the capitalist class. Workers of the world can't unite if the workers of the world all leave their homes for ours.
1
No. No we don't. We need to stop ordering from these BS food delivery apps and let them go bankrupt. They are horrible for consumers, workers, businesses and neighborhoods..
1
They built the middle class.
1
It's actually not. Low income women are the least likely to get abortions as it's beneficial for them to have kids. The higher the income the woman, the higher the education, the more abortions women get.
1
It doesn't appear American made. It appears to be made by noncitizens.
1
The workers on that boat weren't even Americans... And it's going to take a long time to rebuild a bridge.
1
More jobs were lost under his first four years than in Obama's entire eight...
1
Anti trust laws aren't enough. We need an acquisition tax.
1
But it doesn't matter. If this is the end result of such deregulated policies then it shows it's irrelevant to the typical American.
1
Which is why you should not be allowed to exist at all. Landlordism is parasitic.
1
@markpoultonsrules "landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed and demand rent even off the natural product of the earth"- Adam Smith. He also said the landlords right originated in robbery. A car is not a necessity like housing is. A person may be inconvenienced without a car but without shelter, no man can grow or subsist.
1
"without regulations the market would reach equilibrium and regulate itself based on supply and demand" is what pro capitalist boot lickers say despite the fact that even with gov regulations, the market does everything it can to harm its own consumers... Imagine if there were no gov regulations at all, it would be a true free for all.
1
Well those rich ppl are the reason this country is being flooded with immigrants because those immigrants benefit the rich at the expense of the American working class. So no, I don't have any sympathy for migrants.
1
No... We definitely don't. But we don't need capitalism either.
1
While culture does matter, due to common values uniting a people, the class divisions have always driven society. Every aspect of our culture can be traced back to an economic influence/material condition. Let states decide their cultural leanings, let conservatives and progressives live amongst one another with their own like minded people. Conservatives, do not believe for a second capitalism cares about your family values. It doesn't. It hates them. The Family was destroyed by capitalism because it was seen as a competitor for control over consumption and production. Progressives, stop falling for the myths poured into your soft fragile heads, convincing you that biology doesn't matter and sex is just a physical activity for our mediocre existence. Monogamy is the greatest way to fight against inequality and disorder. If we want a more community oriented society, the economy should reflect that. Our economy now encourages rugged Individualism not families or communities.
1
Remember, these corporations are the ppl who complain about socialism taking your private property and wealth from you. These are the same ppl who claim capitalism ensures freedom of opportunity, increased competition, encourages innovation and promotes efficiency/self sufficiency. Hilarious.
1
All of this "smart" technology needs to be outlawed. Its a privacy violation and its a hindrance to human freedom.
1
Communists and socialists do not believe in wage labor at all and solely believe in compensation through labor notes attributed to their productivity. Aka, the labor theory of value. Fighting for higher minimum wages is not socialist at all. It's a liberal tactic that does not radically alter the relationship to rhe means of production.
1
Two reasons. 1. Because what these corporations are pushing is disgusting filth that should be prohibited. And 2. It's easier than actually changing the business structure. They like Capitalism, what they don't like is degeneracy being supported by capital. Which is ironic.
1
You know what's actually cruel? Testing unapproved products on ppl instead and perhaps selling it because we couldn't test on animals anymore.
1
@Mouse_Metal then educate me. What are these hundreds of alternative methods? Name some of them. 2 of them at least so I can look them up.
1
@Mouse_Metal i shall do research on these potential alternatives. Thank you.
1
That should only be provided to families. Not single adults.
1
@Excalibur2 many addicts were prescribed pain meds like opioids, lost their insurance or they were never properly taken off the meds. Now they are addicted by no fault of their own and we for some reason blame them for being victims.
1
@Excalibur2 we absolutely can expect members of a society to look out for one another. We only are cynical about this because we live in a hyper individualistic, capitalist hellscape that pits ppl from the same group against one another.
1
@Excalibur2 i couldn't move in with family. I had none.
1
@Universal_Craftsman no, they spent large amounts of money on NGOs. That money could have gone directly to mortgage and rental assistance but didn't. You can demand change from ppl after you've housed them. Until then, be quiet and stop demanding ppl "earn" their essential needs for life. California is a great example of why capitalism sucks, using liberal sloganeering to appear forward thinking and progressive. It isn't. It's a sham. It's all about creating a problem and then throwing money at private institutions to "solve" that problem without actually doing so cause if they did solve the homelessness crisis then there would be no more profit to make. Housing, similar to education, healthcare and energy, should not be subject to the profit motive.
1
@Universal_Craftsman California is a terrible example of how to solve anything. They are run by exceptionally corrupt corporations which create problems which the government then funnels money towards more private institutions to supposedly solve said problem despite knowing that they have no incentive to solve the problem because if they did there would no longer be anything to profit off of. That money should go towards rehab, and mortgage and rental assistance. Directly benefiting Californians instead of going towards NGOs who pocket the majority of the funding.
1
We should be a white Christian nation state. We should also be pro labor and anti corporate concentration of property.
1
If someone in America is speaking a language other than American English, they shouldn't be in this country.
1
No, no one other than liberals ever claimed the Affordable Care Act fixed the problems of our healthcare system. Worker rights advocates and leftists in general have always known and complained about how Obamacare was a right wing, pro business healthcare plan that never addressed the root issues.
1
If conservatives adopted policies similar to this I don't think they'd ever lose. It would be a divide between conservative and progressive, not a matter of economic division.
1
Thats a good point. Are they overseen by anyone while on the job?
1
So you are admitting a bunch of illegals who should not even be here also deserve more workers rights even though they steal jobs from Americans and contribute to the very exploitive Capitalist system you criticize? You muppets are killing me. You want workers in America to have power? Kick out all the job stealers who forced their way in here and now demand special treatment.
1
Capitalists create organizations that benefit themselves, aka they organized... But if workers do the same thing, well then thats terrible and will destroy jobs. I really can't stand capitalism.
1
And? It doesn't make it any less accurate.
1
Writing hasn't been ruined by gig work. It's been ruined by awful scripts, recycling old movies and shows for nostalgia purposes and because pushing woke agendas have taken precedent over making serious scripts. If the writers strike and refuse to write woke, boring and condescending scripts then maybe I could support them.
1
We'd have more hydroelectric and nuclear energy provided sources too if it were nationalized.
1
@kevinskiles2033 and why are they crucial to agriculture? Who told you they were? Congratulations, you're actively supporting the capitalist class by giving them exactly what they want, cheap foreign labor flooding the market and taking away American jobs.
1
No such thing as trans "kids". But there is such a thing as socialism and this is it. Worker co-ops are the future and I hope more pop up around the country. It's difficult, I know, alot of banks won't loan to co-ops. But this is proof it can be done and can be successful as an alternative to the traditional business model.
1
The private developers are the ones who lobby for said zoning restrictions.
1
1: never heard of Corn Nuts. 2: Hormel has long been a problem and this is just the most recent example. 3: why can't that one woman speak English? Learn the language or get lost.
1
@JH-im2co subtitles are irrelevant. She works in America, and so she should speak the language spoken by the people of America or she should not be here. And the people who hire those that can't speak (aka refuse to speak English) should be fined heavily. Glad to know I'm a white nationalist because I expect people who move here to speak the language. If I moved to Mexico I should speak spanish or I should leave. If I moved to Japan and refused to speak or learn Japanese I should be kicked out. "Basic human decency"? You know what's basic and decent? Learning the language of the country you decided to move to. Get bent.
1
@vshah1010 I know that. That's the problem. It's cheaper and it lowers wages across the board. That's one of the biggest problems I have of kt.
1
Make Skiing great again! That's what this video was. A bunch of white ppl complaining that their home no longer looks or feels like the town they grew up in.
