  14. Socialists do need to remember their masculine, blue collar lineage. These guys were known as Union Boys. They were effectively a mafia and fought for labor rights actively and could walk the talk. Though China is leftist in name only. Any county that bans unions and cooperatives is not at all socialist.

  17. Depends on the issue. When it comes to immigration and crime I tend to find conservative have better arguments. Their beliefs on gender is certainly superior but everything else? Usually a fail. Healthcare? Climate change? Taxes? Inequality? Conservatives/Right wingers fail horribly at these.

Hasan has regularly turned down ways to make more money via passive income even though he could. And socialism doesn't want people to go without homes, decent homes. They want everyone to be housed and be housed in domiciles necessary to their needs. He knows he's privileged. He doesn't think it's millions with better talents rhan he live in squalor. Me and Hasan disagree on many issues, particularly social issues. But this outrage at him buying a house, with a loan he took out to do so, so he and his family can have decent space to themselves, is rather ridiculous. Its true, he could have chosen another house. But does it really matter? Socialism doesn't want people to live in horrible housing conditions and it doesn't believe in rent. So homeownership is important. I'm a socialist, I'm not apologizing for recognizing how Capitalism works. Socialism is about the workers and the community owning property, aka land and factories, not homes. That's personal property, like your car or tv. It doesn't contribute to production.

  28. Wahmen can never truly be members of the proletariat because they don't actually contribute labor the same way that men typically do. They have a different role. An important role, but they aren't the main producers. As for Hasan, he has routinely stated that he wants people of his class to systemically be taxed higher. He wants more people to live in a similar condition than him. And to do that wealth inequality must disapate, the wealth belonging to the working class must be reinvested into them and their access to basic services increased. Capitalism almost always wins because it's the dominant economic system globally and doesn't allow for alternative means. Any attempt at alternative means is combatted and replaced with a leader that is not favorable to western, especially American interests.

  32. 1: For Cory Booker to fight back against Stewart's claim that it's the white farmers fault is actually decent and respectable. 2: Why only fight for blaque farmers? Why not right for family farms and farming cooperatives? Because those have been decimated by corporations who buy their land to further their own monopolistic power. 3: Factory farms kill local production and the environment. Im on the Left, these things matter to me. It's poor quality meat and veggies that are full of pesticides and chemicals. The amount of water they steal is immense and contributes to rationing and hiked up prices. Its unacceptable.

  36. I am so embarrassed and ashamed of being a Leftist when things like this happen. Not a single Leftist likes Joe but too many people on the Left defend Cardi B. She is the Bill Cosby of women. She is awful and does in fact hurt women's rights and he perceptions people have of them and the way they view themselves. I'm not going to ignore Cardi B's crap simply because she supports universal healthcare and affordable education. It does not make her a good person simply because we agree on a few issues. And no, she does not look "delicious" or good or hot or anything. She's creepy looking.

  37. Nah Jeremy. Live and let live is another example liberalisms abysmal failure. There is no such thing as "you do you, I'll do me". It's nice in theory but in the real world it causes massive amounts of distrust, unaccountability, excuses for unproductive and unhealthy behavior and it breeds a poor justification for not standing up for truth, justice and integrity.

  40. The mainstream progressive left is not the same thing as the old school labor left. The class analysis types who focus on material conditions and the inherent contributions of Capitalism and it's alienating and exploitive aspects that are done by design, those types of lefties... They are the majority but are too afraid to push back against the mainstream ideology adopted by the neoliberal lobbyists. And there is a reason these Capitalist loving liberals don't mind capitulating to cultural issues, it's because it doesn't hurt their bottom line and doesn't threaten the structure they benefit from. Leftists, actual leftists, don't want a system with a different shade of flesh, different gender identity, etc. They don't want blak businesses or t-rans CEOs, they don't want private ownership of capital or CEOs. They don't want gaye landlords, they want to end landlordship and make property socially owned. Marx, who is not the only influence for socialists, was explicitly a materialist that rejected ideology and subjective opinion, he believed nature and science had objective attributes that determined reality. He even said, "never take a person at their word, for what is a word but a lie from someone's mouth not yet proven false?" That's not the exact quote but it's effectively what he said. Marx would not have agreed that there were infinite genders. He would say there are either two or none at all and that it doesn't matter because objective material conditions don't care about your perception of them.
