  2.  @DieselRamcharger  Sorry, but President Trump followed the Constitution, and left state crimes to state authorities. How many times were his policies challenged in court? The left did everything it could to hamstring him. Was he perfect, no. Was he trying, yes. I could go further, but I realize that you would ignore any facts that don't fit your narrative. Just one ponder for you, VP Harris helped fund a bail fund for criminals that let a man out to commit murder.

  3.  @Sasquatch5655  You are right, there was no Native American culture, but many cultures. A couple of examples, the Dutch first met the Irioquis at war with what became the Huron over territory. The Dutch than backed the Iroquis and the French the Huron. The Dutch bought Manhattan from a tribe that sold something that they didn't own. The Souix were originally Great Lakes tribes forced westward by another tribe. A really good example of bad history was the movie "Dancing With Wolves" where they had the Souix concerned over the nature of the White US. This coming from a people who were French allies in at least the second half of the 1600s, who had been both friendly or hostile towards settlers traveling the Great Plains. How many people thought the movie was fact? Worse, the book actually had the Native Americans as Commanche with an even longer history of involvement with Whites; and also absolutely abominable relations with other tribes. She either does actually know history or avoids dealing with it.

  4.  @DieselRamcharger  Sorry, about firearms, I own several and have for years; and none cave ever attacked me or anyone else. Shootings are conducted by people, not firearms. When plea bargains by local prosecutors drop firearms related charges routinely (Chicago's Kim Foxx who recently refused to charge anyone on either side because it was mutual conflict) you signal illegal use of firearms is condoned. Even if all firearms vanished tomorrow, violence world remain. There have mass injuries from knife and axe attacks in the PRC; recently an archer in Canada killed and injured 7 people; the UK and New Zealand have gone after knife sales. This is just as useless, because of my military duties I learned how many deadly things are available in almost every home if someone researches and wishes to do harm. So, drop the firearm nonsense and concentrate on criminals. As to the wall, how often was progress stymied by Congress (via funding) or lawsuits in front of friendly (mostly Democrat judges); yet then Wall was being built. Remember that was one of the first thing President Boden stopped, for months the Feds paid the contractors for doing nothing, and recently came to a settlement to end the contracts; leaving the materials piled to rust. Contrary to the Dems and leftists; President Trump didn't play dictator and ignore the courts, by the way our current President has played fast and loose ignoring the courts. Again unless you wanted him to act as a dictator, he couldn't try or jail Ms. Clinton. Remember the same people who lied about him in the DOJ protected her and the Bidens. Hunter anyone? So, as I suspect that I am actually dealing with an anti-law type pretending to equally damn both sides; try dealing in facts not talking points.

  5. Be happy that at least there was a 75,000 bond. In Chicago, New York (city and state), and many other Dem controlled areas; they are released without bond. Currently there are many more than 100 people charged with murder who are on the streets with an ankle monitor at best. Violations of their bond aren't routinely followed up.

  6.  @DieselRamcharger  This shooter's family talked about having the funds; so bail was no problem. As to the poor; yes, what is bail to them. Something that keeps them off the street and prevents them from robbing, attacking, beating, hospitalizing, or killing a new victim. Check out this is not a claim but fact. What is the law if their is no consequence? You know the answer to that; but choose to ignore it. Your stance here proves you are no Conservative or even Libertarian; since even they understand that we need to show concern for victims not the victimizers.

  8. We don't know if she stole any liquor or was part of a group that did that. She was a suspect, when she refused to leave the car and attempted to drive off, she failed to comply, attempted to flee and actually drove at an officer (the officer was at least brushed by the car). When you attempt to hit a person with a car, you can be considered a potential threat to others, acceptable reason for shooting. By the way the woman who said "I did the research so you don't have to."; tells me not to believer her, she is providing an opinion stated as fact.

  9. June 19th wasn`t when the Black population was notified about slaveries end. It was the date when one community in Texas was told about the Emancipation Proclamation (it took later Constitutional Amendment to formally ended slavery). It is an artificial holiday to me, the holiday should be when the Amendment ending slavery legally.

  10. I can't say she stole something or participated in the theft; but she was killed when she decided to fail to obey, attempted to flee/ resist arrest, and hit an officer. She was driving a car without proper licensing, had an outstanding warrant (violating a restraining order filed by her grandmother), and generally seems to have a questionable history. She had a lot of reasons to run, that had nothing to with theft.

  12. These people had better pray that the public keep letting the police handle these fools. At some point, vigilanti justice may start about these deniers of other people's rights and the actual criminals. When the laws fail to protect the majority, the publ8c eventually loses patience. I pray that the frustration stays to voting out the politicians who prefer to support their ideologies than the laws that protect rights.

It was meant as the center of the United States that was occupied to conduct legislative business as the seat of government; with the exception of the President and those Executive Branch people directly responsible to him, no Representative or Senator was expected to have residences there except temporary quarters for the time sessions were held. No state was supposed to own the Capital.

  25. The problem with attempted murder is intent. While I agree that there probably was intent, proving what was in his mind is difficult at best. There should have been an assault with a deadly weapon charge and illegal possession of a firearms charge (at his age possession of a handgun is illegal, even in Texas). I believe that he could not possess the weapon in a school. So, he was definitely under charged.

Go after the idiots who make the rules. It is like the police enforcing dumb laws; don't like the laws that they enforce go after the politicians who made the law; force them to change the law, and if they won't change they, replace them with people who will next election.

  30.  @JonJaeden  No, the 13th was December 1865 (months after June 19th), 14th was July 1868 and it made the freed Blacks citizens, and 15th Amendment was in 1870 which granted voting rights. On June 19th 1865 the Black slaves in Galveston Texas were told of the Emancipation Proclamation, and slavery was still legal under the Constitution, Black Americans weren't citizens and they did not have full rights under the law. So, all the joy of those freed Texas slaves was legally premature. The 13th Amendment was adopted in December 1865. That should be the date of the holiday.

It was quite different than the dead woman's; I was making the point that you weren't making a grab and run, but simply an error. The same type of error the person at the check out stand made in running your order. There is a great difference between overlooking something in the corner of the cart, and someone possibly involved in a grab and run. Honest people usually correct the error, and those involved in loss prevention don't usually look close checking out through the checkout lines. They look for people like this woman who could have been involved in a grab and run either by being the thief or providing cover while the theft took place.

Sorry, could it have been handled better, yes; but she should have handled it better herself, yes. Until they got her out of the car, they didn't know had badly she was injured. If a 21 year old had has a six year old child, she has been asking poor life decisions starting at 14 years of age. I won't condemn her for that, but just to point out that she had a history of making poor decisions. This was a fatal one.

All too many children from Mothers who started having children at an age when they should have been in high school have their mother or grandmother raising them. Remember a 21 year old with a six year old child probably was only 14 when she got pregnant. Not likely able to care for herself let alone a child and herself. The odds are that she had been getting public funds for tbe children since they were born; and probably would have handed this one over to a family member after is birth. I suspect she would have felt that a baby would cramp her life style.

  50.  @mikeinmd915  While the idea has merit, I think it infeasible. The Government has grown too large and interconnected (not necessarily a good thing). The increased inefficiency of trying to run scattered sites will only increase costs and make effective management more difficult while leading superiors in distant locations more apt to act on their own beliefs because of relative isolation. I also question if local governments won't exercise undue influence on those separate branches (think Portland, Chicago, etc.. style beliefs on the DOJ), or try to tax Federal property. I agree the representation and group think questions are real problems; but just giving them to a state isn't a real answer either. The group think comes from education/indoctrination that occurs rather than real education. Couple this with the effect of ideologically driven people moving up the hierarchy and slowly insuring the promotion of like minded people into senior positions. One of the 60's radicals (Abby Hoffman, if my memory is right) told his followers that their attempt to take the country had failed; and that they should infiltrate the establishment to prepare for the next revolt. In the 1970's book, Survival Is Not Enough, a professor whose expertise was Impetial and Soviet Russia, stated that the communists had chosen, media and education to infiltrate to weaken and defeat the US. Several of the key players who helped continue the Russia Gate Hoax have acknowledged early ties to socialist or communist groups; including a Director of a major intelligence agency and Comi (sp?) In the FBI. Also for consideration, there was a book in the last couple of years which described what happened in Eastern Europe after WWII; the chapter on Romania looks very similar on what is happening today here, including the crimanization of opposition leaders. Another thing is to look at how the NAZIs (actually a socialist movement, Stalin was the one who called them right wing - they were only the right wing of socialism though) used von Hindenberg, a popular and moderate leader who was very ill, to gain power. Look at history, and you may see the present.
