If your country borders Russia neutrality is pure utopia and it is an invitation for Russia to "visit". Putin could invade and try to grab non Nato Ukraine only. Ukraine had no chance to join anyway. This is an excuse for Putin.

@petehowett2854 Joining Nato is a choice while being soviet puppet was made by force. Russia invaded non Nato country. Nato expansion is just an excuse. If Ukraine had been in Nato, Putin would have never started.

And one last thing. Nato does not force anybody to join. Countries appy to join Nato because they are sick and tired of Russia which keeps invading them. Nato is an excuse for Putin to justify this war. It is not about Nato. Nato never invaded Russia.

Russia simply has a break sometimes and that is all Eastern Euroepans knew it and they were right to join Nato as quicly as they could. Eastern Europeans are free people. They are not Russia's buffer. They owe Russia nothing. You still do not get Eastern European countries have their own interests and concerns in all of this and Russia is not their master anymore. @tomcaine226 Russia does not own Eastern Europe so Eastern Europe's pact choice is none of Russia's decission. Eastern Europeans are not Russia's slaves. They do not have to ask for Russia's permission. If Russia was a good neighbor, there would be no need to join Nato.

If all your neighbours hate you, look in the mirror because you are the bad one here and stop playing the victim card Nato never attacked Russia It's Russia that has a long history of invading its neighbour or at least tell them what they can or can not do.When it comes to Ukraine and Russia It's like blaming a neighbour for instaling an alarm system because of a robbery in the closest area.
