He wants Ukraine as a part of Russia and he could invade and try to overrun non Nato Ukraine only.Ukraine had no will to join Nato before 2014 and no chance to join after that. It is not about Nato. Why didn't Putin invade Finland which has the biggest land border with Russia? Because he wants Ukraine.

Nato is at Russia's borders for decades and so what? Nobody had any plan to invade Russia. Countries like Poland or Lithuania border Russia and al they want is to be left aone. Living under Moscow's commands was not something they asked for. They have no will to repeat it and I do not blame Russia's neighbors for that. If Russia was a good neighbor, nobody would want to join Nato in order to be secured.

Russia and USSR has never had anything to offer exept for lack of freedom, crimes and poverty. They never learn. Others moved on long time ago while Russians are still stucked in their whataboutism world and act as if we owed them something. Russia s not a "special need" country. Deal with it. Russa is not even super power anymore to demand anything.
