Russian backyard ends up inside russian borders, Why would Mexico want to be allied with Russia in the first place? Ukraine is not even Nato member and had zero chance to join. USA is a good neighbor unlike Russia so Mexico has nothing to worry about unlike Ukraine. Putin does not consider Ukraine to be " a real country". He wants Ukraine as a part of Russia. Nato is an excuse, not a reason. It is about Putin's legacy and ego. If Ukraine had been in Nato, Putin would have never invaded. He invaded because he could and wanted to. If Russia was a good neighbor, most former Warsaw pact countries would have no need to join Nato in order to be secured.

  13. According to contract Poland should ay in euro so Russia broke a deal here. Besides, Polish government was not going to extend its gas contract with Russia anyway and this one was till december so not a big loss.
