Russia was supposed to respect Ukraine's independence according to Budapest Memorandum signed by Russia in 1994. Russia always needs excuses to justify its greed. Ask yourself why so amny former Warsaw pact members do not want to have anything in common with Russia anymore. I will give you a clue. It is not because Russia is so friendly neighbour, it is exactly the opposite. They knew Russia would never change and they were right. Joining Nato is the best thing they could have done to be secured from Russia's aggression.

  15. In Poland it was about social benefits and lower retirement age, number of things like that. Poles are pro EU and chose Eurosceptc govenment at one point. Poland is a land of paradox. Besides for many years all those Eastern European ctizent did not feel welcome and were not treated the same way. It was about "We will give you your dignity back"

Presidential election will be held in 2025 and with new liberal president it will be a different liberal Poland. At least we do not support Putin no matter who is in power here.   35. When all Russia's neighbours joined or wants to join Nato, it means Russia is the problem, not a victim. Are you surised knowing their history? Every independent State is free to choose which pacts to join. It's none of Russia's business. Central and Eastern Europe it's not Russia's backyard. Russia like complaining about Nato near russian border but at the same time Russia had no problems crossing its neighbours borders and attacking. Nato never crossed Russia's borders.
