Baltic States and Poland joined Nato for a reason. Putin can not face article 5 of Nato an he knows it. Second of all Who does Russia think it is to tell another independent country if it can or can not join any pact? Ukraine's pact choices are up to Ukraine and it's not Russia to decide about it. Joining Nato it's a choice while being Russia's neighbour is not. Nato never attacked Russia. It's always Russia invading its neighbours with every stupid excuse. We are done with Putin's paranoia. Russia has nothing to offer exet for wars, poverty and rapes. You can not border Russia and be neutral and even Finland knows it. IT's Putin who pushed Russia's neighbours into Nato's arms. You should all stop treating Russia's neighbors as if their voice and will to be secured by Nato did not matter. It did. They didn not have to ask Russia for its permission. Their own experience with Russia over the centuries is more than enough. USSR is gone but Putin's state of mind is still soviet.
