The government has to have money to pay for the soldiers, government employees, Federal police, rules and regulations regarding what industries can dump into the air, water, soil(aka contaminants). They can't do that $hit anymore - they have to clean up their act. What good is it to live on a planet that can NOT support "LIFE"? Russia was buying oil from Iraq when Saddam was in power, cuz the demand was not great (3 dozen cars). Saddam knew he had a limited supply of oil and once that is gone then Iraq would return to the sandy desert it has always been, so selling it slowly is preferred for him to extend the life of the reserves. The U.S. companies wanted to come in & pump out millions of barrels of oil per day. Once the well is dry....that ends the oil companies interest in Iraq. They move to a new territory. . The fact Russia has gas(meaning Natural gas for your furnace) & the war means that Russia is threatening Europe with no gas this winter. Gasoline is Petrol, & Russia was buying from the Arab world like the U.S. does. Oil companies sell to the highest BIDDER....as it is auctioned off. A Free Market drives the price. . As for taxes, you can't cut them 100 times when the mayor and the city councilors rely on TAX DOLLARS to get wages. . I know quite a few Billionaires and multi-millionaires that do not have a problem in paying more in taxes(considering Orangutan gave them a TAX FREE 4 YEARS) so they have scads of money laying around that was initially designated to pay INCOME TAX.

  5. AFAIK Ua does not have long range armaments'. The battle has been only on Ua soil. They got so much extra iron in the soil they don't need that fertilizer for their crops.
