Garbage list.

@jakemorris4302 The main character is obviously not a sideline at all. His character is the entire point. That he is in some scenes provoked in no way entails that it justifies his actions. It is shown that it is quite understandable that his descent happened, but by the end, there really is no reason whatsoever to maintain sympathy with him. And realism is secondary in movies. I agree with you that this victim of the environment crap is generally a result of weak writing, but it is not really such a case in Joker. Besides which, there are a large number of examples in which a protagonist is consequently victimized while the movie is still great. And what does that view tell you exactly, boyo? I'm quite 100% sure i've seen lightyears more than you, your profile picture tells me enough.

@dragonlukasmapping805 There's no 30s or 40s film on my top 10, if that's what you're getting at. There are however 3 in it that are before 1970. However, point is, there are some 30s or 40s films inherently better than some on this list, like the dark knight or apocalypse now. Anyway, saying something is 'old' isn't an argument to discredit their quality.
2
@dragonlukasmapping805 Why should we not see those movies because we live in the 21th century...? That doesn't make any sense. If something is better than something else, it only makes sense to see that first, even if it is old. In fact, generally, older films are usually better than newer films.
2
Coming from you that means very little, but obviously it is correct. Imagine liking that piece of nonsense.
2
Whose second account is this?
2
No.
2
Coming from you, this means very little. Especially considering both are lightyears superior to Andrei Shitblev.

Lamborghini Cars Shawshank > The Godfather. Truth is hard to accept, i know.

@7500forever It's not a matter of taste, boyo. It is simply abysmally written. It generally only appeals to teenage girls, due to the fact that it is simply a dumb high budget junk fest. Something that looks like it was written by a 12 year old girl one of the best ever? That's funny. Besides which, i don't think you have the validity to call something 'the greatest ever'. You probably know very little movies.
2
@JohnJohnson-sm7ic If you actually think that those 3 mediocrities are better than Lord of the Rings, you really need to have your head examined. Although saying that it's boring is already enough reason to get your head examined. Also, did you seriously call michael bay the best director of all time? It's like you're trying to win the prize for the most ridiculous statement on this thread.
2
@JohnJohnson-sm7ic Acting, writing, cinematography, sets, sound, editing, direction etc.

@TeodoricoGrande Oy Eh Actually, plenty of people say it has a better score than E.T. & the Godfather. I do not care about what paid off critics and so called biased 'scholars' think. Their opinions are not relevant. Laughably the most relevant opinion is from the normal kind of people that vote on IMDb. 'Open your mind...?' What are you, a 14 year old abstract art lover that adores a painting with two lines on it? There's not a difference between my favorite & the best, because my opinion is objective. My favorites are the best. And what are you getting at with your last sentence...? Because i am 100% white and i dislike muslims and don't much care for indians either.
2
@TeodoricoGrande Oy Eh Look, those violins in Shawshank's original score are simply heart wrenching in a way that the Godfather & E.T.'s score can never be. I reckon any musical expert can confirm this and confirm that Shawshank has in fact the greatest original score of these films. I already gave you a lot of coherent and plausible reasons for considering it a masterpiece, but you STILL ignorantly call me 'cattle' for no substantial reason whatsoever except for the fact that you subjectively hate the film and thus people who like it. My point about the 14 year old means that it is common knowledge the only 'art' youngsters are interested in these days is disgusting abstract art which is ugly and means nothing. In turn, because of what you have said i think you prefer kind of similar movies to this kind of thinking ( like Bergman or Tarkovsky, who are ofcourse nowhere near Darabont ). If you believe TDK is better than Shawshank you are already delusional in your own right... because that's just ridiculous. My mind is far above the corrupt minds of critics and if somebody embodies simple mindedness it is them. And i didn't say IMDb was relevant, i said it was MORE relevant than critics. Audiences are often times also wrong like with crap such as the dark knight or infinity war, but generally they are way more accurate than pseudo intellectual paid off critics.

Nobody cares about influence.

@oneiroagent And it's obvious you have some personal issues with Pacino, given your previous posts... but i'm being mortally serious. I don't see how anyone can think Heath's performance noteworthy. And i can generally tell the quality of a performance quite accurately. But there's just not one single reason to think that Ledger should be among top performances. Someone already mentioned this to you, but the pent up anger Pacino displayed in that abortion scene is one of the pieces of greatest acting i've ever seen. Where are these moments of Heath? None come close.

If you are saddened by marvel you must have the hormone level of a 10 year old girl.
2
Demad777 Many films are much better than Scarface.
2
Lmao #3 AHAHAHAHA. Are you 12?
2
@maazmalik8083 What "potato quality", lmao? They look the same as 2000s shit. And no, they are not better. You just like them more, because your attentionspan is extremely low and you cannot handle anything older than 2000. The fault is yours, not the movie's.
2
Bo Rood Yes, it is indeed an awful list.
2
Yeah abviousely
2
@Fenix Anime BG Seems like a lot of people reached new lows recently, in that case.
2
@mikedeeco11 Yeah, issy is a worse person than stalin and hitler because criticizing lists and cussing people out over the internet is worse than murdering millions of people! Excellent logic, comrade.
2
Somewhere.

Cringy comment.
2
@noahpevey8834 You don't really have the validity to talk about 'decent movies' when you're advocating for more superhero movies, lmao.
2
@taxidriver1019 Eternal Sunshine is crap, and so is American Psycho. Raging Bull is good, but it has shallow one dimensional characters that do not develop in any way throughout the film. Something that is this lacking in its character development can surely never be seen as THE best ever made.
2
@taxidriver1019 It seems to me like you have no idea what you're talking about. Jake starts out as this wife beating self destructive impulsive guy, and this is exactly how he ends up in the end. There is no character development, obviously since it is a biography, but still.
2
@taxidriver1019 It's not so hard to understand, boyo. He ends up the same person he was before. Now i'm not saying the movie is bad, quite the contrary, but like most of Kubrick's stuff it is quite lacking in character development and thus can never be seen as the single greatest ever.
2
TaxiDriver 101 Just because he gains weight doesn't mean he's a changed person, you shortsighted dimwit. His values and principles are exactly the same. He is still this self destructive narcistic baboon. Your arguments are invalid and hopelessly subjective.
2
TaxiDriver 101 Marxist??? HAHAHAHAHAHA, jesus christ you are an incredible funny little lefty hypocrite. I'm not talking about the state he is in, i'm talking about the person he is, which is still exactly the same, and those are FACTS. Anyway, it is obvious i know more about films than you and thus my arguments are significantly higher in their validity.
2
@cantuaa.le04 No mistake, my only slight criticism is that a distinction between 'best' & 'favorites' is a bit unnecessary. It is only this pretentious taxidriver guy that is getting on my nerves since he thinks he knows everything while in reality that knowledge is quite vacant.
2
@taxidriver1019 Google holds no relevance here. I am far more relevant. I have seen Raging Bull two times, and it is obvious that Jake does not change personality wise. The thing that changes are the events around him, but his personality remains largely the same. These are the facts. Now Raging Bull does have a lot of strengths, but character is one of its weaker points.
2
@taxidriver1019 Yeah, your opinion here is purely subjective. Casino has multiple interesting characters and their development is far more significant than RB's. RB is primarily memorable for its superb acting, cinematography & a couple of fantastic uses of silence & reflection in its shots, but not for its non existent character development. Once again, RB is still an incredible film, i'm not denying that, but you cannot deny it has weaknesses in character development.
2
Lol at #3.
2
@alfa01spotivo I don't have any problem with them, they're just simple minded entertainment pieces for the masses. None is top 200 worthy at the very least.
2
Utterly pathetic list.
2
Who?
2
T M Nobody knows this guy
2
T M Who are they?
2
T M Never. What are they? B movie directors or something?
2
T M Nope, never heard of those. Afraid i don't quite know what you're talking about. In any case, nobody knows them.
2
T M correct.
2
@Legend-vm9uv Says the boyo who thinks King Kong is better, lmao.
2
@fortnitemaster610 Insightful rebuttal.... you must be a truly intellectual and sophisticated scholar of some sort...
2
Yeah, should be about two zero's behind it.
2
No.

It's pretty good from #1-32, but it starts going downhill fast after that.
