Let's put some nordic countries as comparison: Finland rank 9, also known as one of the least corrupted countries on the planet. Denmark rank 10. Sweden rank 11. Norway rank 14. Top three would be Singapore, Switzerland and Ireland. In case you haven't noticed the pattern yet. All countries known from having low corruption.

Royal family really isn't interested in governing, thus allows people to vote for people who are doing bit governing instead of the royal family. All they seem to ask is respect. Meanwhile since entire army is in control of royal family, they could easily wipe out the opposition without any resistance. Yet they haven't done so. Meanwhile Thailand is one of the free Asian countries even though royalty is in power. So is it really common sense? Especially since they far better job than places like venezuela for example?

They did so much infighting that they developed faster in terms of technology and had so many bottleneck events that changed their genetic makeup favoring people with capability for war and strategy.
