It wasn't about invading Vietnam but to protect southern Vietnamese from the communists who tried to mass murder them. As seen after peace treaty the northern vietnamese broke the peace treaty and had committed mass murder in south. USA was actually winning the war but due to public pressure had to withdraw. For Afghanistan same thing. USA had demolished enemy troops but public pressure they had to leave the country. Which resulted into actual afganistan government leading their troops in incompetent manner and losing to bunch of drug dealers who can't even read. " Russia is fighting against Ukraine which have access to all Western financial and military aid." Ukraine had no aid at start and humiliated Russia who thought they could storm the capital in 3 days. "nd after all, Russia is not using even 1/10 of its weapon capabilities in Ukraine." It can't use without official declaration of war. However as seen so far... Russian weapons are bad.

  41. It's not a loop. Russia doesn't like EU since EU countries have defensive pact. Russia wants to use Ukraine as a puppet state, which is why it's instrumental that Ukraine is not allied with any country willing to fight against Russia if Russia would invade. This is why Russia is scared of EU and NATO. Since both would give much needed security for Ukraine to ignore Russian threats of war. Russia has been threatening and agitating long before Ukraine even considered joining NATO. It has done the same with other countries next to it as well. NATO is defensive alliance and NATO wouldn't be as crazy as start to invade Russia due to the fact that Russia would just nuke the planet (they are known to be sore losers who love scorched earth tactic). Simply put.. If ukraine doesn't join EU or NATO, then Russia will just use it as a puppet state like it was before.
