  5. Shouldn't happen but these streamers are exploiting some very troubled people. From the streamer's perspective, I'm sure it seems safe sitting facing a camera and watching your bank account increase but they should be aware of the risks they're taking on.

  20.  @liwojenkins  If MFA is implemented correctly. Often ways around are left. But even then, some of these hacks work on current, logged-in sessions. Some people keep all their YouTube stuff on completely separate systems for this reason. Linus is big enough that this should probably be the case there but we've seen before that he often plays fast-and-loose with best practices.

Presumably anyone who might have objected was concerned about being called some kind of phobe and cancelled. Though to be sure, I was beginning to wonder if the value proposition was still there. And I was someone who bought netflix stock when the kwikster dump happened.

  24. So many of these kind of channels are just trying to find ways to reformat a couple of hundred trivia facts they have. Sometimes it will even be the same list as a couple of weeks ago with slightly different wording. "10 terrifying horror film facts" vs "10 things you didn't know about the scariest horror movies" and similar nonsense. To be clear, I mostly blame YouTube with the algorithm favoring channels that churn out content, no matter how bad it is.

  28.  @jacobyrassilon  The sad thing with the Marvel was that they were very popular (well, less so for some) and they could have at least done a bit more and wrapped things up nicely. Just cancelling them in the way they did was no less disrespectful than network TV has been over the years and was the beginning of the end as far as I was concerned.

  50. @antiami That's fine for the occasional instance but when it gets like this, the YouTuber starts to lose sincerity. There were cuts every word at some point. Much more and Jeremy could just give the editor a pile of old videos and a script to cut new videos together from.
