If you ask Alexa to play black jazz, it actually will.

Sounds like AS is struggling to maintain relevance.

She had to leave earth because her planet needed her.

@pgtmr2713 He has floatplane right? Though I've not really seen it explained well. You think they'd be pushing it. Maybe it's not that kind of thing.
1
Don't Look @ Me You can have a huge amount of money and cash flow can mess you up.
1
@vev They actually lost a bunch of original content due to lack of backups a year or two ago.
1
I'd be interested to see you address Tom Scott's video about Youtube Copyright.
1
@patricks7784 Maybe they could do it where Holmes and Watson are the same person, Jekyll and Hyde style.
1
Honestly, it puts me a bit in mind of The Mekon.

Brazil, anyone?

Totally killer was a pretty good watch. Best I've seen in a while (My wife recently picked out two that ended in exactly the same way - murderous child about to be killed by the father who gets killed by a random passerby with a gun)

I wonder if the nintendo thing is because she didn't want to be advertising animal crossing without getting paid for it.
1
@icestationzebraassociates2460 Same. I was using the generalized "you" fwiw. I got your point.
1
"Our customers don't want X. We're going to give them X." What could possibly go wrong?
1
I was wondering why my notifications contained a comment on a nonexistent video. This explains it.
1
@krichardson113 I kinda used to watch 0.25er on the regular but then he crossed over into confirmed grifter and it just grew tiresome.
1
@bleechrcreechrr I was already dead set against Ring anyway. Even without their recent spying debacles, using the cloud for this kind of thing is unwise.
1
Please don't continue with the shorts.
1
The original book Candyman was set in the UK, where Barker was originally from. (Definitely worth a read.) So it's not necessarily tied to Chicago.
1
I actually did set up with a facebook account when I first installed Oculus. Now I'll have to create a non-facebook account just because. I'll be looking to moving away from Oculus though. I already don't buy games from their store (Steam just makes more sense).
1
The last time I went shopping there, it was stacked full of TVs. Presumably for those people looking to carefully invest their covid money.
1
@rodjacksonx I think that may be a mistake too. Putting the work in and refactoring is probably the best way forward. Joelonsoftware has a good article about refactoring vs rewriting from a while back.
1
@sportscardsandthings It doesn't matter. It still needs to be handled properly or the technical debt just multiplies and when things break, you have no hope of fixing it. The bigger and more complex things get, the more essential quality management becomes.
1
@sportscardsandthings Who's saying one size fits all? Good management will make sure there's a good environment for generating good, maintainable code. I've worked in both kinds and it's a world of difference. Honestly, you're kind-of coming across as someone trying to excuse shitty code.
1
Could be interesting. I think Best Buy is hanging on by its fingertips anyway. Every time I go in (every year or two), it seems more dismal.
1
@aeringothyk5445 From what source are you downloading? Some of that shit has DRM. If that's not what you're taking about then that's reasonable.
1
This seems like teen drama to me.
1
Sounds like pre-Musk they were applying bodge upon bodge upon bodge with a good dose of political bias and manipulation tools thrown in for good measure. It actually wouldn't surprise me if Twitter couldn't work if it wasn't broken.
1
@breadguchii8241 I think at this point, you'd only have to whisper in his ear what's happening in the country he helped create and head asplode.
1
That wouldn't have happened because it would make a bad story. Basically you had a lot of youtubers hyping the fear for views and clickbait. Not completely without justification because of the mess that's been made of Star Wars and Who but the MCU has been reasonably solid.
