China will be lucky if they can make a Japanese style slow crawl back to a functioning economy. I don't believe Japan had as many negative factors waiting in the wings as China does, any of which can tank their economy.

Prop up the housing industry to sell more land? 60 million unsold properties. This is the very definition of insanity.
45
CCP to their citizens: "Let them eat tofu."
37
Along with Trump's utter failure to respond.
24
It's never been about growth. Although the CCP calls it that. It is financial activity, whether it turns a profit or not. Wasting money on pointless municipal projects has allowed the metropolitan governments to report meeting their quotas while falling farther into debt.
21
@mattgairns7565 What do you mean "the Chinese economy is still growing"? China's economy has been in a nose dive since 2019. The beginning of the economic resurgence ended during the 2nd quarter. There's no silver lining on the horizon for China.
16
Anything that utilizes Chinese concrete is suspect. One of their BRI dams has 7000 cracks.
14
Well CCP, I guess America won't have a chance to steal anymore Chinese technology. Dang! What will we do now?
13
Radioactive tofu.
11
@karunama3771 An overwhelming Chinese famine is much closer than 10 years off. Droughts, floods, insect infestations and general mismanaged intervention by the CCP this year have contributed to an agrarian disaster not seen in decades. The rural flight to the cities will put a new face on the coming famine. I believe we'll start to see the 1st effects by the end of this year.
11
The title of your video should read, "China Makes Massive Advancements in Smoke and Mirrors." After the initial panic in the West subsides, it will prove to be all hype, as usual.
11
Free shipping from Temu and other junk sites.
11
The chips made for the new Huawei phone are made with machinery purchased 5 years ago, producing chips 5 years behind current Western technology. The phones also have a camera (front AND back) that is on 24/7, disguised as a QR code scanner. Satellite connection app doesn't work. China will not be able to develop the next generation of phones beyond what the Mate 60 has in use now.
11
@NorfolkSceptic The lesson to learn from General Washington was his refusal to assume the reins of power after the surrender of the British in favor of promoting the system of government established by his contemporaries and fought to preserve.
10
How long will China's "moon dregs" construction hold up in space?
10
@labandonaldhock80 50 people disagree with you.
10
Xi, who can grit his teeth and smile at the same time.
10
Let's hold that Executive officer who disbanded the pandemic response team and continued to cover up his role in its spread in the US, responsible for his part in the demise of 1000s of Americans.
10
Wouldn't actual numbers be a refreshing change from the usual party line of confusing nonsense and finger pointing?
10
How much longer will China be called the world's 2nd largest economy?
10
@DK-ev9dg Go away. You're just spreading bullshit.
10
@DK-ev9dg I'm going to start reporting your posts. Spamming and harassment will no longer be tolerated.
9
Perhaps the U.S. should offer China 100 free hits of fentanyl with every high chip they want to purchase.
9
China is not a Communist country, per se. The old soviet style system of health care, education and employment by the state has NEVER been implemented in China or North Korea or any other authoritarian strongman government (dictatorship) calling itself a Communists country.
9
FYI, Cannabis is legal in North Korea.
9
Chinese debt to GDP is over 270%. There's no bright spot on the horizon for China.
9
@marioreiman7357 Russia has never had the ability to build its own energy infrastructure. They have always depended on help from the West. They will need China to build its own pipeline to supply itself with Russian gas. China won't have anything to do with providing India with a Russian pipeline, that's a nonstarter. China's record of faulty construction will be a pig in a poke for Russia's economic salvation. Any solution is years away.
8
@uss-dh7909 Democrats in lockstep? Hardly! Republicans: the hive mind.
8
"Ride the dragon...." more like chasing the dragon's tail. No way to go but down.
8
@zakjuly6721 It's not 1890. The current government of China is only 75 years old, not 134.
8
How do you say "crock of shit" in Chinese?
8
Bravo!
8
China leads the world in producing carbon emissions. They are currently working on a program of building more coal fired power plants. China, as usual, talks a good game, but when the rubber hits the road, it's all hot air.
8
@MrToubrouk Happy horseshit.
8
@DK-ev9dg Nope. China's new plan to repatriate their urban populations back to the countryside with the novel "my hometown, my responsibility" initiative signals the government's inability to provide the social infrastructure needed to sustain an aging and now largely unemployable youth population in their cities for much longer. The tech boom is over in China. Real estate markets are at a virtual standstill and debt to GDP is at 280%. Huawei's chip "breakthrough" is already 5 years behind the West. The CCP is on its last legs as far as innovation is concerned.
8
Not to mention cutting off its nose to spite its face.
7
China's autocratic government IS NOT Leftist. An Autocracy by its very definition is extreme Right-wing.
7
There's no bailing on a mortgage in China. Not only does one lose the house, down payment, and equity, but a stiff fine is imposed, and the debt is never cleared. Restrictions on placing kids in better schools and certain types of travel are also at risk. Default on the mortgage is truly an act of desperation in China.
7
We're getting the pandas back. And no chairman Xi, we aren't going to buy $500 billion dollars worth of plastic santas to help you complete building those 20 million unfinished housing projects.
7
Have you seen the bicycle graveyards every large city has? 70 million unused bikes in China rotting in heaps by the 1000s.
7
@DK-ev9dg People here in the USA are fat and rich by Chinese standards. Even the homeless don't go hungry in America.
7
"It should be taken with a grain of salt."
7
His sponsor should be happy to have such an outstanding spokesman for their business. They're obviously getting a lot of bang for their buck.
7
@kindGSL Beijing's constant lies about being peacekeepers in Asia is not talk. It's smoke and mirrors to cover up their real intentions and actions.
7
China's population IS already at 1.2 billion, maximum. Like everything else counting heads has also been exaggerated. Being ¥50 trillion in debt hardly qualifies as being "the world's 2nd largest economy" India is de facto number 2 in both population and GDP.
7
30 comments in 9 minutes. Can't wait to jump in to this one.
7
Another 4K subscriptions this week already. 👍
7
The tobacco industry in China is an inordinately high percentage of China's GDP.
6
I'm trying to avoid watching anything about the pending calamity of convict Trump's 2nd opportunity to destabilize the US government. I gained 20 lbs in 2016. After that election, I ate pie and ice cream 3 meals a day for a month. 😮
6
@tonysu8860 Definitely "unsound". China's GDP is based on activity, not productivity. Take out a ¥1000 loan to invest in real estate. Pay back ¥1000 on the loan. Add ¥2000 to the GDP despite ¥0.00 earnings.
