  1. Thoughts on Trump's announcement that he favors an end to the double taxation of Americans living overseas? I mean the IRC does not define an individual. The regulations define an individual as a US citizen and a US resident person, but a Treasury Secretary could change that regulation to define an individual as a person resident in the US for tax purposes, thus ending US citizenship based taxation by regulation. It would obviously cause Congress to scurry to redefine who is subject to the exit tax as any American becoming non-tax resident, but the Trump campaign has announced its support to end the double taxation of Americans living overseas. If that were to happen I think you would have a new influx of clients at the low end of the market.

  2.  @Jehauvv88  source taxation rules still typically apply in residence based tax systems, but social security itself is not taxed even if you live in the US. It is only taxed in the US if you have additional income beyond social security which puts you above a certain threshold.
