  1. I literally live within 10 miles of 12 first cousins & at least a dozen second cousins & 2 of them have visited me in the last five years for maybe a grand total of 40 hours. Not one of my three uncles have stopped by to say hi in five years & I live with and watch after my mother who is their late brother's widow. Family, beyond immediate family is quite frankly overrated. If I go overseas I'm 99.999% sure my mother would leave too. During the periods I have lived away from those relatives within the United States over the course of 9 years I received one telephone call from those relatives aside from my mother & my sister.
