@therealestake if they ever reneged on the deal you could still move away from there the same as you likely would if 0% went away in 11 years.

@hikerliz I mean what if the country is efficient and does not require much direct taxation because it raises revenue through fees like the Cayman Islands does through work permit and residence permit fees? I mean a country has a right to choose how it taxes people does it not? Who says infrastructure must be provided by government? Rail lines operate successfully as private enterprise in many countries as do ports and airports. Private schools exist in most countries. Courts can run on court filing fees. Land records offices could operate with filing fees. Incorporation fees could pay for many governments which are efficient to operate. They already do in many countries.

@CopyrightStriker13 why? It is cheaper for companies to operate without the need for physical space if they can do so? What are you jealous?

@305mom7 check the statistics on how many people are naturalized in each country in South America. It is edifying. Peru naturalizes more people than Paraguay annually, but it is still less than 1k people a year the last I checked. Paraguay was less than 500 I believe. Chile naturalized about 10k people, this despite the fact that there are about a million immigrants living in the country. Argentina has the highest number of naturalizations in South America and it is only in the tens of thousands of people a year. Mexico has the highest rate of naturalization in Latin America. Chile has stated they want to make naturalization easier, but they do put a lot of roadblocks in place, so it is a believe it when I see it scenario to me. Argentina and Mexico are your best bets for naturalization in Latin America and both are high tax countries. It is possible with proper planning to avoid Mexico becoming your center of vital interest and avoid tax residency there while naturalizing, but it will take a lot of planning and proper documentation. Getting caught in either the Mexican or Argentinian tax system takes some effort to leave.

The risk of invasion by the tyrant in the US has made one of the best countries in Latin America, ie Panama a safety risk

@glo8778 if you are threatening to invade neighboring countries and countries with which your nation has been aligned for a century or more, if you are ignoring the orders of courts in your home country, if you are ruling by edict and ignoring the legislature, if you are threatening to jail or kill opponents, you are by definition a tyrant.

@Shaw-x2e There are plenty of places where earning $3000 USD a month or less will allow you to live better than most Kings in history have lived.
