  1. In your entire lifetime there was only ever one tax increase in the United States and it was a small one under George H. W. Bush which was cut by Clinton and Gingrich less than 5 years after it was enacted. Taxes in the US peaked in the 1960s and have been cut by more than 50% since then and are down even more since Obama. Clinton, Bush II, Obama, and Trump ALL CUT TAXES. Corporate taxes were reduced by almost 50% in the last 6 years. Deductions & depreciation has also been accelerated and expanded. A married couple living exclusively on qualified dividends in the US can earn $80k a year without owing 1ยข in taxes. All of this is to say if you think taxes are going in the wrong direction in the USA, you must be arguing for a tax increase because they have only gone down in your lifetime.
