@ВячеславСкопюк Polish-Lithuenian Unions and Commonwealth existed longer than Russia that starts in 18th century. Earlier that was Great Duchy of Moscow.. And Poland never form imperial form of government. Indeed that was personal union, later federation. With religious tolerance and system of governing that was one of the first modern monarchy with domination of parliment (Sejm). Not perfect, but much more free than Tsarist Russia or USSR was ever.

Allied guarantee were given for Poland only for German invasion not include USSR. At later time France and UK were developing plans to help Finland or even bomb Baku oil fields.

@Leonid_Brezhnev1 Any evidence? Because that is a propaganda lie. There is one Polish response for German proposition, Polish government refuse to participate in war against USSR! End of story. Poland have non-aggresion pacts with Germany and USSR. Funny is that the both documents are nearly identical, pact with USSR was signed in 1932 and with Germany 1935. Both Germany and USSR brake this treaties in 1939, first by Secret Protocols of R-M Pact, second by invasion. That is why USSR lied about Polish Goverment leaving Poland. Also at 17th September 1939 over 50% of Polands territory was still under Polish control. Second biggest Polish counter-attack in 1939 was done in 17th to 20th September, after Soviet invasion! Hardly example of non-existing state.

@WM-gf8zm Rather logic. 1932 USSR nad Poland sign Non-Aggresion Pact. Pact that state that both side do not engage into hostile action against eachother and do not use military power against eachother. Guess who broke that treaty? Simple anwser. USSR. First at 23rd August 1939 in secret protocoles of R-M Pact allying with Hitler and 17th September invading Poland.

@legokingtm9462 Just like USSR defend Kiev and Minsk in 1941. Differece is that UK fought with Germany. Italy and Japan the same time. But wait Lend Lease help USSR win the war. And still British declare war and fought it. USSR just invade without delaration of war. In 1939 to 1941 USSR was most importatn ally to Third Reich. Funny that simple fact is so infurriating to commie defenders.

Then look on map of Poland from that time and map of Germany. Fun fact for you, Berlin was Slavic settelment ataken by Germans from Western Slavs. And Hiter plan invasion on Poland long before he claim rights to so called "corridor".

CommandoDude In december of 1941significant numbers of british tanks and other suplly from GB was in use in Red Army, in decisive numbers because of soviet loses in previous months. Even 100 tanks in December 1941 was great number for Red Army, you should remember how important are numbers in comparison with other numbers, not standing alone without background.

Rather you should wrote that Third Reich, Italy and USSR ignored that other countries declare non-intervention in Spain. They try stop transfer of weapons and war materials, but they can't stop trade that this countries used to supply both side of conflict. And tell me when USSR give back Spanish Gold that they steal? Because they take Republican Gold reservs, much more than Spain was due for Soviet weapons? I will resopond you. Never. And France never allowed to usage of own airspace to bomb Repuiblic of Spain. Both Italy and Third Reich used bases in Spain and North Africa.

@Wrzerq Without that money Taliban can't fight. You can spin however you want, but without support Taliban was to weak to fight even against weak Afgan government. And moment when Russia try invade one of NATO state will be fighting with USA and whole NATO. And that war is imposiable t win by Russia, China will just wait and watch. Even today China do not accepted that Russ atake Crimea from Ukraine.

@Wrzerq I do not underestimate Russia. I just see that Putin regime is like Tsar's regime in 1904-05. Powerfull but inept. Russia itself have many problems to solve. Nothing secure power better than little short war. But effects cann't be predicted. Look how Ukrainians now hate Russia and Putin. Even if Putin take Ukraine, he would have to occupy population much larger than Chechnia and bringing Russia nothing than more ecconomical troubels. Just look who is colonizing Russia in eastern part, not just economicaly. Nobody in West want to invade Russia, China is buliding ground to it, and it is doing that the same ways Russia always did. China will not suport aggression, probably will help if Russia, will it find itself in trouble. But that will came with price tag. You forget Chiness hate Russia for taking their lands and humiliation of 19th an20th century. Parts of Ukraine taken by Russia still are recognize by China sa Ukrainian territory, even when both countries are so close.

@RegressPanika It is like comapare what happened to Jews and Poles under German occupation to what happen with Germans unde nazi "liberation" of Poland in 1939. And how happy were Soviet citizens shows how in 1941 so many Soviet units just give up to Germans or collaborated with them.

@MGB-learning Yes, but think how powerful and genocidal would become Third Reich when they would capture USSR with all manpower and resources.It was Faustian bargin but alternative was much more worse. Not mention of power of Soviet influence by communist in West.
