  1. I suspect they're just waiting for the right moment to strike south towards Melitopol, or between Melitopol and Mariupol. I don't think it needs to be either-or.......it can be both. In other words, they don't have to wait until Kherson is liberated.

  2. No, it won't be. It will be a seige, with Ukraine entirely isolating the peninsular then just picking away at Russian military targets, but not trying to attack in force over land. It might take Russia a few weeks to realise that it hasn't got a hope, but Putin's regime will have been toppled by then. It couldn't survive losing Crimea.

It was fomented by the Russians, armed by the Russians, paid for by the Russians, and then manned by the Russians. It is only Russian propoganda that suggested it was a spontaneous uprising.
