@speedracertv4934 Its not a war crime to eliminate enemy general in conflict zones, if so obama would be in jail by now with how many more drone strikes he ordered over trump. Not to mention Afghanistan. And vietnams army was not the problem, the army was easy to fight, it was the gorilla insurgency that beat the the US military, just like how it would be if they tried that shit in America and Afghanistan .

Just because something is accessible doesnt mean it should be promoted to children. Cigarettes' are easily accessible, theres a reason we dont sell them to kids. Sure some slip through the cracks but thats unavoidable. Doesn't mean you then do a complete 180 and start handing out cig packs in the lunch room.

@scarpfish My analogy was about ease of access. How something being accessible doesn't make it good or that people would naturally seek it out. Not the consequences for what ever it is that the person gained access to. And there ARE consequences for trying to introduce these books to kids. There is such a thing as knowing to much, there are things even adults shouldn't know led alone kids. Not to mention the quite frequent scenario of some particular kid or even adult getting influenced by something they read of watched and it effecting them negatively mentally. That effect propagating into adulthood. The vast majority of these of books are pseudo intellectual grand standing at best and thus worthless. But at worst some of them are actual evil. There is no knowledge to be gained from these books. It's just a rabbit hole meant to indoctrinate people into an ideology. And kids are particularly susceptible to such manipulations thus why they should be kept as far away from stuff like this as possible.

@hanswurst2765 No its entirly true, literally all you have to do is look at their crime rates before and after the gun ban, its basically the same. The homicide rate was droping around the world at the same rate. the gun ban had nothing to do with that. Guns arent the cause of crime, people are. What are you a 12 year old? using "cope" .

To kill a mocking bird shouldn't really be a book that's in k-12 curriculum. its filled with inaccuracy's that it tries to pass off as facts making it misleading. Not a good thing to be promoting to kids I wouldnt think since you want them to get accurate information at schools. Its not as horrifical egregious as those ped books, so removing it from the libraries probably isnt necessary, but taking it out of curriculum sounds fair.

@WizardToby Its a wildly exaggerated example you. A book with not only such heavy topics, but heavy topics that are inaccurate and skewed to promote a certain narrative isnt something that should be promoted to kid I don't think. It skews their view of the world into being something its not.

@tohellwithgoogle4261 No it is not basic information. If it was basic information kids would find out about it naturally themselves instead of been indoctrinated. The information is at MINIMUM inappropriate for child, if not out right harmful and predatory. There are examples of some of these books in children's library's literally depicting deviant sexual acts between minors and some even between minors and adults. There is no defending that, its disgusting and evil.

@psychomd1939 It didn't specify for what a gun is exclusively used for this it can be used for anything legal the wielder requires. The constitution recognizes natural God given human rights. It is not what grants those rights. You totalitarian types are so quick to take away the rights of others. It was made specifically for you. We can see why.

@johnburns4017 A militia is anyone in the citizenry who can fight. Making EVERYONE part of the militia. For the purpose of keeping a "free state". Thus it lets the people aka the militia keep and bear their arms. It is never specified when thus that means whenever said people want.
