@NexusWarior211 even if science was a religion it would be the best one since it has the most proof compared to literally every other .
1
But you would have unlimited time to get out of said rat race and do what ever you wanted then for ever if so desired
1
Estrogen can still be responsible for gyno. Estrogen is to a degree nessecary for males AMD females but MUCH less sonin males. Just like how excess testosterone is bad for women excess estrogen is bad for men.
1
as long as we still have rights to privacy like we currently do it will be fine, so dont go voting away your rights now ya hear ;)
1
Eventually they would get out of being just the work force.
1
nahh
1
depends on what you do with your life
1
eventually it will just need better technology for the scan ands not even like if you were to make a perfect copy of a person they would continue to be the exact same throughout their lives
1
Why would you wan't the people they killed to die instead of being able to live forever ??????
1
@ashleysimthi4852 If there's no good there's no bad either so might as well make everyone immortal.
1
Society wouldn't stall as long as people are around new ideas will emerge. As long as our current system of government stays the same it should be fine , even in a feudal system people would eventually get tired of it and revolt. Imagine all the good that could come of people like jeff Bezos or albert Einstein or steven hawking if they could live forever.
1
@bloodwitness7037 There's always gonna be evil somewhere, it will exist as long as humans exist. Just have to press on.
1
@notescamilla no
1
we aren't born for any reason we are the ones that decide the reason and if we decided we are born to live forever, that is now the reason.
1
the rich help with progressing science and the like, since you need money and resources to do stuff they are a big help. Even if it is for self centered reasons eventually the technology will be brought down in cost and made available for the average person.
1
I mean if you want to completely stop death just transfer a person mind into a computer and boom
1
That's the saddest part, imagine how lonely the oldest immortals among us would feel.
1
why not just buy rocket boots ? :)
1
The elves literally lived in a primitive backwards world with seemingly no technological advancements of course they were fuckin miserable XD. Pain and suffering is the meaning of live, a live with out any hardship at all simply isn't living . Risk need to be taken. And there will always be more to do.
1
@Noobscodee Not just life threatening risk, but risk that can but you in a less advantages position in general. Its how you learn.
1
Hey if they make it that far they earned it as far as i'm concerned
1
if we are still an advanced species by the time heat death occurs we would be advanced enough to avoid it.
1
your prerogative of course, but i think most people would
1
well no the chances stay the same, but since you are alive longer you just have more opportunity's to experience those situations. If you would still be partaking in said opportunities .
1
Humans have never been and will never be equal... If we had immortality those same tyrants wouldn't be able to do anything .
1
We probably could eventually
1
Do you really think they can all of a sudden just prevent death with out understanding it first ?
1
no such thing as being too competent, If we ever mastered time it self that would be amazing.
1
Probably, every time you go to sleep it can be seen as a different person waking up. Are you really even the same person you were 10 years ago ?
1
Technological progressions isn't something that should be limited by politics.
1
@dcwhitney8314 As far as cooperate interest go they are interested in making money so they can be pretty easy to predict most of the time. If a cooperation sees a gap that can be filled they will try to fill said gap and profit from it. Said profit usually comes from selling goods to people that they actually want. So really they are just fulfilling the wants of the population. As far as governments go I would say it depends on the government.
1
ok boomer
1
eventually we can just make other things to store our memories instead of our limited brains or even just improve our brains
1
In time
1
I'm pretty sure it is a quote from interstellar.
1
A great irl example is Age, you aren't the same person you were 10 years ago, and when you sleep it can be said that a different person wakes up in your place because of how your brain works. You are not even the same person you were 5 minuets ago. Your brain is nothing more than a computer anyway.
1
@bazooka712 You realize wed still have roads, highways, and public infrastructure without taxes right? Your argument that only government can do those things is brain dead.
1
People have said that about every kind of technology that has ever existed. Technology improves and makes it way down to the masses once the price is reduced. And its the rich usually who spur on those developments in the first place making it possible for the rest of us.
1
@htchamber2776 Imagine "insert your preferred politician here" or any other none corrupt politician or philanthropist living that long... -_-
1
@htchamber2776 I'm sure plenty and the benefitted society a lot. And really when you think about it world wars lead to a lot of technological advancements so at least it wasn't all for nothing.
1
@htchamber2776 Does it matter what people are MEANT to do, humans are smart enough now to choose what THEY think they are meant to do and that ability will only grow as we learn. We are the ones that decide meaning since we are the only ones who have the ability to actual make a choice .
1
@htchamber2776 People question others ideologies regardless of them being alive or not. I mean slavery is illegal now so I doubt that would happen again. One person can only control so much. Also a neat fact, slavery was more so abolished for technological and logistical reason anyway, making that entire industry less viable. Not strictly because of ideological reason.
1
@htchamber2776 They don't ruin it for everybody necessarily. Also were are you getting these arbitrary age limits from anyway ? There are creatures in nature that could theoretically live forever. Certain lobsters and jelly fish being prime examples.
1
@htchamber2776 I'm not talking about the logical part i'm talking about the purely biological aspect of how certain creatures approach the concept of aging .
1
@htchamber2776 I mean those same dictators would probably just pass off their rule to their children like in north korea. Older generations dying isn't what spurs progress, quite the opposite actually since it's the old who generally know more about the past and actively seek to change things. And true not every country is at the same level but I doubt that will ever be the case honestly. New ideas aren't restricted to the new generation.
1
Because death is an objectively bad thing for people ? unless something worse is happening which isn't the case most of the time.
1
or nothingness and be left behind and eternally forgotten about
1
@georgiohyde1027 You saying he does exist wont make him exist.
1
@georgiohyde1027 I mean if you believe the bible god literally had to stop humans from working together because they were building a ladder. If that the limit of his intellect we aren't to far behind. We were made in his image allegedly after all. Religious people have said tons of things about progress throughout the years, things that have progressed society. Things they say only god can control and they are always wrong. Science doesn't wait for anyone.
1
@georgiohyde1027 there are no 2 dimensionally beings
