The Penatagon and US public have little to gain by conquering China at the expense of half of its military strength and so many sailors at the bottom of the South China Sea. China would have to represent an extremely existential threat to the USA to justify an attack.

  18. @hyhhy  OH, but I do understand. Russian logistics are terrible and their transport vehicles are in terrible shape and they struggled just to launch an invasion over a land border. Now, imagine that same scenario, but crossing an ocean. I really don't think they would stand a chance.

  49. Seems to me, the key to effective offensive operations is some form of enhanced radar jamming and or cyber attacks to disable the enemy's defensive cababilities. Another possibility is to have swarms of smart drones in the first wave overwhelm the enemy's missile defenses before the real knock out punch comes in the second wave.
