  7. If the transition of "Jackie" Green was such a resounding success, why don't we ever see them, why aren't they an advocate for the charity? Why aren't they an advisor, speaking to children about those early experiences and how he just knew he was supposed to bea little girl...? Where is Jackie now? Where is this incredibly success story that the entire Mermaids therapy model came from and we Helen says, shaped NHS policy. If the transition was SUCH a resounding success why do we never ever hear from Jackie now? Ever.

I only know what his stand up is like because someone downloaded one of his shows and i realised then what a vile bellend he is.   13. They are lectures. The conversations he has are with himself, in front of other people. That's his speaking style. He's self aware enough to realise and state that it is a form of worship. And his audiences do seem to worship him. Like an evangelical preacher Or a rock band. It's definitely male hero worship. It's like Bill Hicks, always wanted to be a rock star. Towards the end of his career, not long before his tragic early death from cancer. He at least achieved that rock star status with his gigs in the UK.

  19.  @niriop  I guess that's a fair question from your perspective I pray, I focus on building a daily relationship with an eternal, omnipresence that I first encountered in my early 20's while learning to meditate. As Bill Hicks would describe it, from his experiences with LSD, my third eye was opened up to a realm of Infinite oneness that as an atheist I didn't then associate with God. As the Gautama Buddha said, don't take his word for any of the things he describes. Do your own practice and test to see if you find the same. Until you do, it will seem like woowoo and nonsense! I totally get that. These experiences are out there waiting for you if you choose to look 🙏 If you do provide the quiet space in your life to find them you too will be convinced that they are real. Until then, you will scoff at the ideas. And that's a shame. However, it's up to you to explore rationally and scientifically, IE with an open mind, and without assuming the answer before you've looked. The ball is in your court. And it's entirely your choice. Be well 🙏

  20.  @niriop  Very perceptive of you. I've spent time in Nepal and in Buddhist retreat centres but my focus is on building a daily prayer practice rather than a meditation practice. My focus is on connecting with fellow Christians so that we are a strong community. As strong a community as the Muslim community in our town. It's important to maintain connections with like minded others.

  26.  @theshed3641  Not really. It was very simple and everyday. Nothing out of the ordinary. The human body is fascinating though. I studied it at degree level. The great thing about the sciences is, it's objective fact so it's easy to get really high marks. My other degree was literature, which is far more subjective so I only got a 2.1 rather than a first

With Dylan, it's hard being an actor, so many wannabe actors never get a break, he's had a break and it's proving incredibly lucrative for him with an the sponsorship deals and the global exposure. He's found a golden goose and he's going to get at many eggs as he can before the fame machine moves onto the next internet sensation. That's how it seems to me anyway. It's what anyone would do if they catch a lucky break, you make the most of it don't you!

  30. I've never once associated nuclear power with nuclear bombs. Two different things. I associate nuclear power with nuclear waste. We're not very good at dealing with that. Let's fix that problem before we create more of the stuff. We're terrible at long term thinking. Nuclear waste is a very long term problem and will outlast us as a species. It's like when you learn to drive. Learn how to stop the car before you learn how to drive it. We haven't done that. Not too bright.

  43. I don't want to be looked after by immigrants. It's a National Health Service. It should be staffed by three best quantified, professional, highly trained British people. Instead it's been run into the ground for decades and British people haven't been valued and trained. Globalisation doesn't work. Look after our own. For our long term security. Incentivise staff to stay and progress. Make staying here more attractive than leaving. It's like he says, we need to value ourselves, each other, our young, our professionals and our institutions.

I've started supporting and going along to my local church to connect with others of faith now, and being more vocal about my faith to people I meet in the course of a day. Not by labouring the point, or going into any detail. But just dropping it lightly into conversation, by putting my hands together in a praying position as I say thank you or goodbye to them. Or mentioning that I will include them in my prayers, or say a little prayer for them as I say goodbye. I'll say one for you if you like ☺️🙏
