  16. She's alive isn't she. She might not be if she hadn't been in therapy. Working through trauma or difficulties can take a long long time. It's a process. I'm not saying all therapists are good. Far from it. And it's important to get a therapist that you can really work with. It can take a long time to find a good one. And once you do, it's still a long process of internal work.

  23. I could never see the fuss about the original. Much as I like James Cameron and agree with much of what he says and the ideas behind the film. And I always loved Sarah Connor organising her whole life, getting strong, training herself and preparing for the war she knew would find her, all to protect her child and, through him, the future of the resistance movement. Her character is incredible and the first three terminator films are still three of my favourite films of all time. Absolute classics. I have a lot of time for James Cameron. I have a male friend who loved avatar and is very much looking forward to the new one

  24. The standard of arguing these days seems to be, say something then stick the fingers in your ears so you can't hear anyone taking back to you and blocking people's profiles online so you can't read what they're saying against you. That's how you argue these days.

  27. Thank you for sharing this. Matt is showing a horrible lack of empathy and understanding on this rant. He really should practice what he preaches, be a good Christian and ask "WWJD" here. Jesus would have compassion and understanding for Britney and women (girls as she was then) who are put in this position. Is Timberlake had been a decent guy he would have stood by her, but he absolved all responsibility. It's easy for men to say "well have an abortion". For them, it's "problem" solved, they get in with their lives and never think about it again. The minute Britney got pregnant with HIS child, she was put in a no win situation. That potential child was a problem to be solved as far as Timberlake and the people who managed her career were concerned. Shame on them. Not her. My heart goes out to her.

  30. Speaking as a woman, I have always detested porn and have no respect for anyone who consumes it. That's why I'm single. I don't think it's possible to find a man who doesn't use it so I'm out of relationships altogether. I don't like this situation, it's not of my making. But since the advent of the internet I am appalled at what men are potentially looking at. It's like they lead a shady single life having their brains rewired and reshaped by disgusting corrosiver ideas that bear no relationship to reality. I want no part of that. I have nothing in common with a man who would use it. It disgusts me.

But I don't think Matt's need for praise and approval of strangers is of the same scale as that of entertainers of all kinds; music industry artists, comedians, actors etc. People who crave attention to addictive levels tend to go into acting, comedy, music. They tend to be needy and addictive people which is why many of them become hooked on drugs, alcohol and sex

  47. I actually agree with you on this. He can just enjoy the rest of his life, could retire somewhere nice without having to be Sam Eliot. He doesn't need to live in Hollywood with all its fakery. He could go somewhere, enjoy life, retain some dignity and have an opinion like a normal human being. But no. Sad.
