Loosing authority? When on. earth, did he have any?
22
I actually agree, we talked endlessly about Englands ancient monarchy but no mention was given to Scotlands. The foundation of Great Britain was when James the 6th of Scotland was invited to be King of England after all.
11
is he? Wasn't he in charge of the Greek finances when they went bankrupt?
10
@ganndeber1621 sigh, I said the foundations. England and Scotland had 100s of years of separated kings and queens. When Queen Elizabeth died without an heir England invited James the 6th of Scotland to be its king. Both countries from that point on had the same head of state. This happened in 1604, 100 years before the act of union.

over the last 40 years when has the UK ever returned a left wing government? (New Labour do not count, they were a continuation of Thatcher) Based on spending, imigrantion and the environment. Sunak and Boris are the most left wing we've been in decades!!
7
....Unless he learns to be quiet the monarchy will not last.
7
I'd argue they've been floundering since Cammeron left. They just about won in 2017 and in 2019 it was all about Brexit. They ran out of talent and common sense years ago!!
7
@FHIPrincePeter They are both awful. And they are one of the reason people are voting for Reform
6
No one will vote for either of these two. It will be the end of the conservative party.
6
Don't mention David Kelly.
5
yes, democracy. He is answerable to his electorate, not a kangaroo court. This isn't democracy its the opposite. We have crossed a line, and it is scary.
5
why?
4
@richardcory5024 His constituents should of been allowed to vote him out and been accountable to them. This is the death of democracy.
4
Do people in Northern Ireland understand anything about Herefordshire? Probably not....Their ignorance is astounding.
4
@FHIPrincePeter They are both awful. And they are one of the reason people are voting for Reform
3
Exactly. What will our young boys be fighting for? Shariah law and discrimination in the workplace?
3
Hmm, they crashed and burned for so many reasons.
3
yes, milk prices were 14p in 2016 before the vote. Since the vote farmers are now being paid 50p a litre.
3
Yet the Ukrainans trust him more than Angela Merkel. Are they wrong?
2
It wasn't.
2
@corneliusantonius3108 Well it won't be for long new environmental legislation is forcing 1/3 of livestock farmers out of business.
2
@corneliusantonius3108 ...and thanks to the EU Dutch horticulture destroyed Gurnseys previously thriving flower industry.
2
@kevhavard "Year to date 60,600 tonnes of fresh and frozen lamb has been exported from the UK, up 10.4% (5,700 tonnes) on the same period last year. Overall, the EU has seen an 11.8% (6,000 tonnes) increase in exports" AHDB 2022. We haven't lost any market, exports to the EU are increasing.
2
yes, i think it should. You need a buffer country between us and Russia.
2
@scottyfive4319 William the conqueror, was forced on England. He invaded, decapitated the English ruling class and replaced them with norman nobles, stole all the land, wiped out 500 years of history, replaced the English language with French and murdered half the population on England.
2
His political career was over. He could either resign or get pushed out by his backbenchers a few months down the line.
2
@yermanoffthetelly Sein fein collapsed the assembly for 3 years due to a failed energy subsidies scheme. That is just one example.
2
@niburu1508 Perhaps blame the IRA?
2
its about 30 years to late to bring this up.
2
What does that make Jeremy Corbyn, Neil Kinnock and Hilary Benn then? AND the majority of labour constituencies?
2
Really? Concidering Macrons recent form I highly doubt it.
2
Its you!!
2
@richardcory5024 The suspension would have triggered a by-election.
2
They didn't, the majority voted for unionist parties. The unionist vote split to punish the DUP.
2
Unionist are the majority. That's a fact. Sein fein won by default because the DUP handling of Brexit.
1
He'll be back. Give it 10 - 14 years. You watch
1
"Go woke, go broke" Natwest has had £600 million wiped off its share price and a bank run is a real possibility.
1
Reform voters are not a separate group. They are just angry conservative voters.
1
They are Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania. They all love him.
1
it's not!! It's 70%
1
Labour hasn't won anything.
1
It really didn't. Sheep prices shot up in 2016 after the Brexit vote, farmers made money. If her farm failed she is bad farmer.
1
@40yearoldvirgil15 I will do.
1
@cg6705 we've had a right-wing government for the last 40 years. Arguably, Sunak and his crew are the most left wing.
1
It's a two party system. Voting for anyone else is just pointless.
1
@JohnPretty1 Unelected leaders typically get kicked out at the next election. The voters do not like it.
1
you do realise you can check average temperatures online? The bbc have been caught out lying, they were taking the temperatures outside a military base when the jets were taking off.
1
@StevenSmith-mk5fg 5 million? More like 1 million. Its ridiculous.
1
probably because she is a bad farmer. The sheep price in 2015 was 381p/kg in 2021 it was 576p/kg. Thats a 66% increase since the Brexit vote.
1
Boris wasn't a liability, he was only 3-4 points behind in the polls mid term when they got rid of him and historically that is pretty good. Do they even remember how our system works? They only needed 40% of the electorate to win. The conservatives are a joke, they lack common sense and most importantly of all discipline!!
