  41. Tech debt can definitely be a nightmare if it's not handled. You pretty much need to incorporate fixing the most crucial/largest tech debt issues in conjunction with your usual work in order to maintain a semblance of sanity. PMs will (almost) never include tech debt in a sprint so it's your job as the engineer to convince them to do so. My favorite tech debt tasks are the ones where you get to remove files. I feel like those have the biggest payoff.

  44. I'm not sure why anyone would use Fleet over one of the very successful JetBrains IDEs instead. Even if all I need is a text editor, I can just use Sublime Text. Also, I strongly disagree with Jeff. I think JetBrains IDEs have a very nice look but I could never get used to VSCode's appearance.
