@paulzhang1310 CCP now even stealing technology from their so called "allies" the Russians. What kind of allies does that ?

@paulzhang1310 You're comparing to a few people to imprisoning, torturing, enslaving thru labor slave camps MILLIONS of Chinese and Uyghur people and these people are Chinese dissidents, intellectuals and mostly just poor defenseless people the CCP preys on. Does Julian Assange deserves it ? I don't know but he refuses to stand trial and instead hide in an Ecuadorian embassy. That's his own decision. Chelsea Manning what about it ? She even run for congress lately and lost. Nobody really likes her. The US goes thru rule of law process and respects the law. China/The CCP does not respect any rule of law. It's a tyrannical criminal organization masquerading as "government" of China while preying on its own people. It's a tyrannical regime that must soon be toppled.

Bloomberg: Yet another Chinese financial institution has come under graft and corruption investigation but we are still very optimistic about China. Yep everything is peachy!!! Come and dump more of your hard earned American dollars on China!!!

The short answer is No. Not while the current regime is around. Xi's policies ironically is wiping out trillions in the Chinese economy. From what they are saying over 200 million young Chinese migrant workers are now out of jobs/unemployed and 10s of thousands of Beijing residents are even moving out of the city due to bankruptcies and economic slowdown. Most Chinese are starting to get pessimistic on the "China Dream". In the future when there is political liberalization and respect for human and worker rights again then maybe China will become investable again. Unfortunately, the Chinese people are sufficiently cowed by the CCP, it will be up to the international community to encourage the Chinese people to get rid of the CCP. During the 1990s - 2010s China did have social liberalization (but not political liberalization) but this changed when Xi Jinping took power. All avenues of social liberalization were rescinded or reverted. I have friends who lived in China during the 1990s until 2018, the change was pretty stark. Back then communist propaganda were becoming obsolete during the boom years as China embraces capitalism. Nowadays all those CCP communist propaganda posters/billboards are back in force and now posted everywhere. Children are now required to have "patriotic education" (aka mandatory communist party ideological education)

I’m here just to mock Tedros Adhanom for his hypocrisy.

It's a complex situation. Basically the local government of Zhengzhou issued a covid lockdown. Many of the workers (200,000+) demanded they be allowed to go home because they don't want to be locked in the factory dorms (where conditions were dire). They also demanded they be compensated with wages (they claim they were not paid the promised wages). The local government then sent the SWAT police and riot CONTROL to "pacify" the workers protesting. This culminated in a showdown between workers and the police which got ugly and there was violence. The police were beating up protesters and the protesters fought back using improvised weapons (like pipe, steel bars, barricades, etc. whatever they can get their hands on) Note: This is an active situation so things are happening fast.

The guy said it best. China is indeed like “Hotel California”, you maybe able to check in easily but you might find yourself not being able to leave with your money. If I were a billionaire I would invest in America. The CCP are infamous for confiscation/theft of other people’s hard earned assets and wealth. This is why they earned the pejorative of “Communist Bandit”.
