The general consensus among Chinese political scholars is Xi isn’t a smart man but most people are too afraid of him to contradict or criticize him because he don’t take criticism well.

You are right, especially in rural China the male offsprings are prioritized above all while girls are treated as a nuisance and an extra mouth to feed even if the women are the ones making the money. It's Chinese culture to respect and support the parents no matter how shitty and irresponsible the parents are. This is the duty and obligation of Chinese culture although nowadays, the reverse is now happening.

China is finished. Li Keqiang is actually one of the better ones. Yes he is still a CCP official. I'm sure he has a few skeletons in his closet but in terms of decency and honesty. I would say I actually liked Li's policies. He is one of the CCP "moderates". He is actually the one that tried to reform China's economy to be more market oriented and more fair playing field for all. I'm kinda sad he will be retiring next year (his term as premiere is up March 2023). That means there's one fewer decent guys that is in Xi's orbit surrounded by mostly hawkish ultranationalists and warmonger yes-men (the worst combinations). And I agree Li Keqiang is considered more of an ideological ally of Hu Jintao than Xi. Li actually has a PhD in economics so he actually knows what he is talking about and is a pragmatist while Xi is more like an ideologue trained in Marxism and Maoism. I would say this does not bode well for China.

Migrant workers trapped in Shanghai are already protesting and rioting why they were denied food assistance from the Shanghai government. There are now severe discrimination between Shanghai residents and other Chinese from other parts of China. Chinese society cohesion is fracturing by the seams. In one leaked conversation with a health worker, basically the CCP higher ups no longer know what to do that is why they keep doubling down on zero covid policy. Many in the lower ranks are too afraid to voice dissenting opinions plus nobody seems to want to listen.

Tiktok should be banned.

Xi Jingping Thought is pretty much the prevailing policy thought. That's what the CCP does when they try to backpedal they throw a minion under the bus. It's never the top leaders at fault it's always a minion's fault. When Mao murdered millions of Chinese, you can see how they try to clear Mao and blame the red guards (the red guards were Mao's most hardline followers and they follow Mao's dictates).

I love IKEA and their Swedish meatballs.

Now the westerners in Shanghai are getting a tiny taste of the kind of crap the Chinese people outside the tier 1-2 cities have to go thru every single day for most of their lives. This is why many wealthy elite Chinese wants to migrate out of China if they have a chance. The CCP are an evil regime.

润学 is now the trending word in China. Basically it means escape from China by going to school abroad. And yes they did this many times in history, the Chinese government basically imprisoned their own people inside China holding them as hostages. They usually do this when they are preparing for war or do some crazy stupid crap like cultural devolution.
2
The PRC is the largest prison on the entire planet. It has 1.3 billion inmates and most of them are innocent people. The CCP is the biggest warden.
2
Through out history there are many Chinese heroes, these are people who rose to oppose the tyrannical governments of past Chinese emperors. This era is no different. The CCP is yet another Chinese dynasty.

From what I am hearing the C919 has problems with the air intake and circulation system when it reaches a certain height. Imagine your air supply for passengers shutting off when you are high above the clouds and air is very thin. I am not sure if this is just one flight or is an inherent design flaw. They are being super tight lipped about this. Apparently it's a huge blow to national pride to admit any problem much less a very serious problem with the airplane.
2
The CCP steals everything including KMT songs. They are called "communist bandits" for a reason.
1
The more the CCP does farce like this, the faster the regime will collapse.
1
The PRC is now a full on totalitarian fascist gestapo state. This is the same stuff they did during Mao's cultural devolution from 1965 - 1975 where they imprison and murder intellectuals, burn books, burn anything deem unpatriotic or culturally foreign.
1
If you know anything about the PRC is they always say one thing and do another. Lying to their own people and to the world is practically their basic modus operandi.
1
Of course they lied. Everything the CCP says are lies. When war breaks out between US and China, those islands will be the first ones to be sunk. Yes, they will sink because those islands are inherently geologically unstable. At least they make good homes for fishes at the bottom of the sea in the future.
1
They interrogated her for over 5 hours. She later wrote on social media she was extremely frightened and exhausted after the ordeal. This is why the CCP needs to be destroyed.
1
Anything funded by the CCP and claims to be for human rights is a lie. The CCP have no qualms about murdering millions of people. They have done it before and will do so again.
1
Western media is easily fooled because there are less and less journalists on the ground reporting. Most has already fled China so the western media now just parrots what the CCP says.

Very interesting. I was researching communism and all communist regime around the world has one thing in common — the idea that the state has the right to inflict violence and death upon the population in order to fulfill whatever grand goals the state is aiming for. Going back to the originator of communism/maxism — Karl Marx, he himself never abandon the idea of using violence as a political weapon. In fact from his writing he encourages using whatever is necessary to oppose the bourgeoisie/capitalists (including using violence and lies) to bludgeon society into obedience in order to achieve a national goal and create his communist utopia/dystopia. This is what turned me off Marxism. If you think about it, Marxism is a very attractive idea (a world where everyone is equal and there are no social classes) however in order achieve that necessitates the death and destruction of the bourgeoisie (elites, capitalists, etc.) and in order to achieve that destruction necessitates the application of violence, death and lies on the elites. There is no such thing as a non-violent communist struggle as communism runs against human nature (human society tends to be selfish and greedy because our society and human progress are built upon constant competition for survival). Note: I’m not saying communism is entirely wrong or unethical but it depends on your personal perception on what is “right”. Is it right to be wealthy and provide for your family or is it right to want a more equal society where there are no excessively wealthy individuals ? I think a lot of people can agree the right answer is somewhere in the middle.
1
Nope. Not while Xi and the CCP are around.
1
I heard 300+ projects and over 70 cities are affected. The ramifications are trillions in US dollars.
1
More and more Chinese and western CCP shills alike are waking up to the true nature of the CCP especially after the Shanghai lockdown catastrophe. It's kinda funny even the CCP realized how badly they screwed up they are engaging in wholesale manipulation, blame deflecting and even banning people from stating the fact Shanghai was locked down. Love Lele Farley he truly understood the Chinese people. And he is right no political party in the entire planet is arrogant enough that they would conflate and bind the party itself to the nation state. You don't see the Republicans or the Democrats or any political party for that matter saying crazy shit like without us there is no USA.
1
Yes. Standard industry practice is the buyer does an initial deposit (roughly 10-25% of the selling price). Then mortgage the balance AFTER the house is built. The practice in China is to pay 20-50% of the selling price upfront then mortgage the other 50-80% until the turn over which could be 3-5 years down the road (there are many cases where the developer went bankrupt after taking people's money and the housing unit were never completed). It's a broken system akin to a Ponzi scheme.
1
Blackrock is gonna lose their shit.
1
The CCP doesn't care if they waste trillions, they are not accountable to the Chinese people. If you look at government buildings in the PRC they all look like grandiose opulent palaces while the typical Chinese live in tiny homes or block apartments.
1
I agree the Chinese people are masters at ingenuity. It is the retarded CCP policies that are holding the Chinese people back. I hope to see the CCP finally collapses one day and China becomes free, democratic and liberal just like Taiwan.
1
Being born in CCP China is a curse.
1
包子 (baozi) is street slang in Mandarin for "useless weak person". So 习包子 is a huge insult directed at Xi Jinping by calling him a "useless weak person".
1
That's what the CCP wants the world to believe but the reality is many Chinese (especially the highly educated ones) find Xi abhorrent.
1
Yes the entire Chinese speculative real estate industry is a Ponzi scheme.
1
When China says their GDP for 2022 grew 0.4% it's actually negative growth -- possibly negative 4%. Of course the CCP would lie, the whole premise of the regime was the promise of "prosperity" in exchange for obedience from the citizens. The CCP has no reason to exist if even the economy is faltering.
1
Of course, Xi turned Hong Kong into a totalitarian shithole. Nobody would appreciate him for that. Remember what the pro-democracy HK protesters wanted was elect their own local public officials in order to address local problems such as housing and other crisis. Apparently that was considered a threat to the CCP.
1
They are praying to a tyrant that orchestrated the murder of 40-60 million of their own people thru starvation and political persecution. The propaganda from childhood really twists the minds.
1
The Great Translation Movement is really doing a great service to the world by exposing the hypocrisy and the two faced-ness of the PRC. While the PRC regime may say one thing (peace and prosperity and cooperation) to the west — the regime promote the reverse to their own population. They taught their own people how to hate the west and disseminate hatred thru the social media. Think of CCTV and CGTN as similar to Newsmax, Breitbart, OANN on steroids except you don’t have many other options in China.
1
Looking at all the propaganda and manufactured outrage coming out of the PRC it's becoming increasingly clear China seems to be running short of talented thinkers within their foreign affairs department. They have been blasting insults and propaganda against the US, Japan, Taiwan, president Tsai and Pelosi almost non-stop for the past 4 days but almost all the propaganda materials are low quality and crude.
1
The CCP only knows how to steal. Even the slogan song "没有共产党,就没有新中国" was stolen from the KMT they just changed 国民党 to 共产党. They are called the epithet "Communist Bandits" (共匪) for a very good reason.
1
Elon Musk loves Russia. The dude is pretty much a fascist lover.
1
Fake it till you make it is pretty much the mantra in CCP China. They need foreign investments, technology transfers and years/decades to develop a real functioning AI. Western companies blinded by greed go along with it while undermining their own capabilities. The reality is western foreign investments are the only thing propping up the CCP regime.
1
Exactly. Great Leap off the Cliff 2.0 is coming for China.
1
I love it when you guys bust the lies and make the fascist CCP/PRC and state media lose face. Hahahaha. Good job!!! 🤣🤣🤣
