  3. i suggest reading "the rise and fall of the third reich" (shirer, 1960). about 15% of the book details the efforts, through the years, of german generals and other military personel who conspired against hitler. and how and why they supported and joined hitler in the first place. most of them adored hitler until he started losing the war HE STARTED! an excellent book. check it out.
